Choosing a babymoon destination in the US can feel a little overwhelming. There’s so many types of experiences across the states! I know I wanted a trip that felt relaxing, special, and safe, without the stress of long flights or complicated logistics. You want to slow down, reconnect with your partner, and soak up this last bit of time before baby arrives.
I took a babymoon to Miami during my first pregnancy and have traveled around the U.S. (and even abroad many times) while pregnant. As a travel blogger, each of those trips from the beaches of Florida to the mountains of Colorado taught me what really makes a babymoon special. The destinations that stand out are the ones that balance comfort, romance, and just enough adventure to feel memorable without being overwhelming.
This guide is for parents-to-be who want honest, firsthand recommendations. I’ll share my favorite U.S. babymoon destinations, what to do there, and where to stay so you can relax and focus on enjoying this special time.
Whether you’re dreaming of a beach escape, a mountain retreat, or a charming coastal town, these destinations are tried, tested, and full of little moments that will make your babymoon unforgettable.

Here are my favorite babymoon destinations in the US!
I’ll start with places I have been (and several while pregnant) and then share a few places on my bucket list that I think would be amazing for a babymoon so you can benefit from my constant research 🙂
1. Charleston, South Carolina
Best Times to Visit: Year-round. Spring and fall offer the most comfortable weather, summer is ideal for a beach trip, and winter is perfect for a cozy escape with fewer crowds and better prices.

I’m from Charleston, and now on my second pregnancy living here, I can confidently say it’s one of the best USA babymoon destinations.
A babymoon in Charleston combines historic charm, beautiful beaches, and an incredible food scene. Strolling through cobblestone streets, enjoying southern hospitality, and relaxing in elegant accommodations can make you feel a little like you’re in Europe without leaving the country.
Things to Do
- Shop and stroll along King Street, full of boutiques and cafes.
- Take a sunset sail for a romantic water-side experience.
- Explore the historic district on a guided tour or horse-drawn carriage.
- Relax on nearby beaches like Sullivan’s Island or Isle of Palms.
- Treat yourself to a spa day—you deserve it!
Where to Stay
There are a lot of hotels I love in Charleston, but these are my two top picks for a babymoon trip!

The Dewberry – One of my personal favorites. My husband and I have stayed here a couple times including our wedding night! From the luxe rooms to the rooftop bar and spa, it’s a relaxing and stylish escape (I visit the spa quite frequently as a local!).
86 Cannon – A charming, adults-only bed and breakfast with a local vibe. Walkable to amazing restaurants and tucked in a quiet, residential area. I’ve toured all of the rooms and especially love the Piazza King or the Bungalow Suite.
>>I have a whole post about my favorite boutique & luxury hotels in downtown Charleston too.
HOW TO BOOK WITH MY VIP PERKS: If you’re interested in access to my VIP perks like complimentary upgrades, daily breakfast for two, a $100 resort credit, and early check in/late check out, reach out to me here with your travel dates and I can help book your hotel. 2. Miami, Florida
Best Times to Visit: Winter is ideal for warm weather, with spring and fall also nice. Summers are hot but still doable.

During my first pregnancy, we did at long weekend trip to Miami at 33 weeks (in addition to our Italy trip). I wanted one last weekend lounging on a white sand beach!
If you live on the East Coast, it’s so easy to reach on a direct flight which is what makes it so nice during pregnancy. There’s so much more to Miami than the party vibe that may come to mind!
Miami is great for a fall or winter babymoon in the US if you wan’t warmer beach weather! Summer is really hot, but still doable (I did mine in August).
We stayed at 1 Hotel South Beach which was right along the beach with a couple pools, too! We loved the dining options on site that lean healthier and their Bamford Wellness Spa was perfect for a prenatal massage.
We did go into downtown Miami too to dine at some amazing restaurants and explore a little.
Things to Do
- Relax on South Beach or one of the quieter beaches nearby.
- Enjoy the hotel pools for a low-key day in the sun.
- Dine at amazing restaurants in Miami Beach or downtown.
- Indulge in a prenatal massage or spa day because you deserve it!
- Take a stroll along the waterfront or explore local art districts.
Where to Stay

1 Hotel South Beach – Right on the beach with multiple pools, healthy dining options, and the Bamford Wellness Spa (perfect for prenatal massages).

3. 30A, Florida
Best Times to Visit: Spring and fall are the most pleasant, winter offers mild weather for a quieter escape, and summers are hot but lively.

I first visited 30A on a girls’ trip and have been wanting to go back with my husband ever since. It’s such a charming spot for a U.S. babymoon. If you’re dreaming of white sand, clear turquoise water, and a laid-back beach town without needing a passport, 30A is a perfect pick.
When we went in February, it was warm enough for full beach days and even swimming in the ocean—a rare treat for that time of year.
There’s several quaint beach towns that make up 30A, but I would choose to base in Rosemary Beach for a babymoon. It has an amazing hotel and walkable access to shops, markets and dining!
Things to Do
- Spend your days relaxing on the sugar-white sand beaches.
- Rent bikes and ride along the scenic 30A bike path through beach towns.
- Explore charming communities like Rosemary Beach and Seaside.
- Dine at local seafood spots or enjoy sunset cocktails (mocktails for you!).
- Book a spa treatment for extra relaxation.
Where to Stay

The Pearl Hotel – The cutest boutique hotel in Rosemary Beach, perfect for a romantic babymoon escape. It’s in the cutest area with Euro vibes and walkable to everything you need from restaurants or the beach.
4. Boca Grande, Florida
Best Times to Visit: Winter and spring are best for warm, sunny weather. Summers are hot and the resort is seasonal, while fall can be subject to hurricane season.

I visited Boca Grande on a girls’ trip during my second pregnancy (though I was only 9 weeks at the time!). It’s a dreamy place for a babymoon if you’re looking for something quiet, relaxing, and walkable with warm weather!
We stayed at The Gasparilla Inn, and it was the perfect base. The hotel’s beach club has everything you need for a stress-free day: beach chairs, multiple pools, and a great restaurant and bar. You can even hop in a golf cart to get around, which adds a fun touch.
We had planned a spa day, but since I was in my first trimester, they didn’t allow treatments yet. My friends raved about the experience, though, so I’d recommend planning a visit in your second or third trimester if the spa is on your list.
The town itself is very walkable, with charming shops and restaurants that make it easy to slow down and enjoy every moment. It really the best little beach town with that clear gulf coast water!
Things to Do
- Relax at the hotel’s beach club and pools.
- Spend a day shopping and strolling around town.
- Enjoy leisurely dinners at local restaurants.
- Book a spa treatment (second or third trimester recommended).
- Explore the island by bike or golf cart for a fun twist.
Where to Stay

The Gasparilla Inn – A true Florida classic, voted the Best Resort in Florida by Travel & Leisure readers in 2025. It’s elegant, charming, and the heart of Boca Grande. We stayed here and LOVED it!
5. Savannah, Georgia
Best Times to Visit: Spring and fall are the most beautiful with comfortable weather and blooming gardens. Summer can be hot and humid, while winter is mild with fewer crowds.

Since Savannah is only about two hours from Charleston, I’ve been many times and it never loses its magic. The oak trees draped in Spanish moss make the city feel so ethereal and stunning.
For a babymoon, it’s the perfect place to slow down, enjoy amazing food, and soak up the romance of this charming southern city. It’s also a very walkable city, which makes it easy to explore at a slower pace!
Things to Do
- Stroll through Forsyth Park and the city’s many historic squares.
- Take a riverboat cruise or carriage ride for a classic Savannah experience.
- Dine at both local staples and upscale restaurants—this city has an incredible food scene.

Best Times to Visit: Fall for colorful foliage, cooler weather, and festivals. Summer is also beautiful with warm coastal days and lively activities.

We’re planning a weekend babymoon to Newport this fall for our second pregnancy, and we’ll have our 2-year-old along too! Newport is perfect for relaxation, scenic walks, and classic coastal charm. The fall colors make the coastline even more stunning, and there are plenty of festivals, cozy shops, and seasonal activities to enjoy.

7. New York City, New York
Best Times to Visit: Year-round. Fall and spring are ideal for pleasant weather, while winter can be charming if you enjoy festive holiday lights and seasonal events.

New York City is a great choice for a U.S. babymoon, especially if you want city energy, amazing restaurants, and endless things to do. You can stroll through iconic neighborhoods, explore museums, catch a Broadway show, or just cozy up in a stylish hotel.
If you’re dreaming of a city escape before baby arrives, New York City is one of the best choices in the United States. I especially recommend it for a Christmas babymoon. It’s pure magic with twinkling lights and holiday window displays to skating at Rockefeller Center, the city is like a real-life snow globe that time of year.

8. Park City, Utah
Best Times to Visit: Winter for skiing and snow activities, summer for hiking, trails, and outdoor exploration. Spring and fall are quieter and perfect for a peaceful escape.

This one is more of a hotel-focused destination, but it’s one I absolutely adore. We stayed at The Lodge at Blue Sky right after our daughter was born, and it was incredible. It would make a fantastic babymoon spot, especially if you want a mix of luxury, relaxation, and nature.
Technically, it’s in Wanship, Utah, just outside Park City/Salt Lake City, which gives it a serene, tucked-away vibe.
Things to Do
- Stay in adults-only cabins along the creek for privacy and tranquility (where we stayed!).
- Relax at the amazing on-site spa—perfect for prenatal treatments.
- Dine at Yuta, the lodge’s fantastic restaurant.
- Swim in the pool or explore the property’s trails.
- Enjoy hiking, mountain biking, or just soaking in the natural surroundings in summer.
Where to Stay
The Lodge at Blue Sky – Stunning cabins, world-class spa, and beautiful outdoor trails. A luxury escape that feels private and peaceful.

9. Asheville, North Carolina
Best Times to Visit: Spring and fall are ideal for mild weather and colorful scenery. Summer is busy but lively, and winter is quiet and cozy.

Asheville is a dreamy babymoon destination if you love mountain views, charming downtown streets, and a slower pace. I’ve visited multiple times since it’s so close to where I live in Charleston.
I love how the city balances outdoor adventure with luxury and comfort. The surrounding Blue Ridge Mountains make it easy to feel relaxed and rejuvenated while still exploring.

- Drive or hike along the Blue Ridge Parkway for stunning mountain views.

Grand Bohemian Hotel – Stylish boutique option with eclectic decor and a central location.

New Orleans is such a fun and memorable choice for a babymoon. The city has Southern charm, incredible food, and a music scene that you’ll feel the moment you arrive. While Bourbon Street is the most famous, there’s so much more to explore.
When I visited, I loved getting to try the famous beignets at Café du Monde, listening to jazz on the streets, and soaking up the riverfront area. If you like history, New Orleans also has excellent museums—the National WWII Museum is full of fascinating exhibits. For a slower pace, you can wander the Garden District, take a streetcar ride, or enjoy a romantic dinner at one of the city’s top restaurants.
