Planning a babymoon to Florida? I could see why Florida might be at the top of your list. As one of the only states that is typically warm year round, it is highly desirable for a babymoon especially throughout the winter. Additionally, Florida is so accessible with many direct flights into major airports making it ideal for expecting parents in the United States.
But where should you go in the Sunshine State? As a luxury travel blogger, I’m sharing all of my favorite babymoon destinations in Florida.
I live in nearby Charleston, South Carolina so I have spent ample time vacationing in Florida throughout my life. Whether family holidays, fishing trips, or attending destination weddings, I have been all over the state. When it came time for my own babymoon, I planned one to Miami for a long weekend.
In this post, I’m guiding you through the best babymoon destinations in Florida and of course, I’m sharing all of the best luxury hotels and resorts for the ultimate retreat for this special getaway.

1. Little Palm Island, Florida
Little Palm Island is the only private resort island in the United States and my number 1 pick for a Florida babymoon. Located off the Florida Keys, this adults only island is inspired by the British West Indies with its old world charm and cute bungalows!
To get there, fly into Key West International Airport and take a scenic drive north to Little Torch Key. From there, a short boat ride or seaplane transports you to the island.
While you are there indulge in a prenatal spa treatment, lounge on the white sand beaches, or kick your feet up at the pool.
If you are up for more activity, you can go snorkeling, diving, or sailing in the turquoise waters. In the evenings, enjoy dinner at their award winning restaurant or book a private sunset dinner on the beach! As a Relais & Chateaux property, the service and food are both always incredible!
Little Palm is about as close as you will get to a Caribbean feel, while staying stateside.
2. 30 A, Florida
30A is a highway that runs along the panhandle of Florida‘s Gulf Coast. The highway runs through tons of ultra-charming beach towns which is how the whole area became known as 30A. I absolutely adored my trip to 30A! It is just so beautiful and laid back.
On each end, you will find the big spring break destinations Destin and Panama City Beach, but in between are some of the most charming beach towns perfect for a babymoon in Florida.
The most popular beach towns dotting the coastline of 30A are Rosemary Beach, Alys Beach, Seaside, Blue Mountain Beach, Grayton Beach, and Santa Rosa Beach. They are all super unique, but share one thing in common: they are not tourist traps. There’s no mega condos, timeshares, or major hotels. You’ll find amazing boutique hotels and adorable airbnbs in these peaceful seaside locales.
To get there, fly into Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport in Panama City Beach and drive about 30 to 45 minutes east along Highway 30A. Alternatively, you can also fly into Destin Fort-Walton Beach Airport with a similar 30 minute drive.

Where to Stay in 30A
Rosemary Beach is definitely the most popular spot to stay in 30A and a great idea for a babymoon in Florida. It’s a super charming beach town with a luxury hotel, great restaurants, and fabulous shopping!
I would stay at The Pearl Hotel which is the most iconic hotel on Rosemary Beach. It is an intimate 55 room property featuring stunning views of the Gulf of Mexico. The hotel is within walking distance to everything and has a spa on property. It’s a AAA Four Diamond hotel and has been named one of Travel + Leisure’s World’s Best Hotels.
Alys Beach will remind you of a seaside Mediterranean town. It feels very Grecian with the perfectly white homes and buildings one after another. If you are yearning for a European vacay, this town will feed your wanderlust!
3. Miami, Florida
In my third trimester of pregnancy, we wanted to do one last long weekend of sitting on the beach relaxing. We chose Miami for many reasons including the convenient direct flight from where we live in Charleston, the white sand beaches, and warm weather. It is SO much more than the party scene you may know it for.
Miami was perfect for being 33 weeks pregnant. We visited the spa, relaxed on South Beach, and shopped in the Miami Design District. In the evenings, we indulged in Miami’s amazing dining scene and tried Michelin Star restaurants.
To reach this vibrant city, fly into Miami International Airport, conveniently located near downtown.

Where to Stay in Miami
We stayed at 1 Hotel South Beach and it was perfect for this trip. We loved the health conscious atmosphere, multiple pool options, onsite restaurants, the spa, and of course the beachfront location.
The rooms are quite spacious and would actually be a great place to return with your baby! The decor is neutral tones and minimalistic which gives major Tulum vibes.

4. Boca Grande, Florida
Boca Grande, located on Gasparilla Island off Florida’s Gulf Coast, is a serene haven perfect for a babymoon in Florida.

I went to Boca Grande while pregnant and it was such a fun trip! I actually went on a girls weekend (a bestiemoon?!). We were craving white sand and clear water and that’s what we got!
To get there, you have two nearby airport options. They are both about 1.5 hour drive to Boca so pick whichever has the best flight schedule for you! We flew into Sarasota Airport (SRQ) and grabbed an uber to the hotel. Alternatively, you can fly into Southwest Florida International Airport in Fort Myers (RSW) and drive about an hour and a half to Boca Grande.
Spend your days lounging on the pristine beaches of Boca Grande, where the soft sand meets the turquoise waters of the Gulf of Mexico.
If you are seeking adventure, explore the island’s natural beauty with a bike ride along the scenic trails or take a leisurely kayak tour through mangrove tunnels.
Dining options on the island are equally impressive, with gourmet restaurants serving fresh seafood and other culinary delights in a picturesque setting. We tried so many great spots with a few favorites being:
- The Pink Elephant – nicer dinner spot
- Sister’s Pizza – super casual
- Bella Vida – coffee and amazing acai bowls!
- The Beach Club Restaurant – loved the fish tacos and mocktails.

Whether you’re unwinding by the pool, enjoying a sunset cruise, or simply savoring a romantic dinner, Boca Grande promises a memorable babymoon experience.
Where to Stay in Boca Grande
When it comes to high-end experiences, Boca Grande doesn’t disappoint for a babymoon in Florida.

The Gasparilla Inn & Club is where we stayed and it stands out as the epitome of luxury, offering elegant accommodations with a historic charm, impeccable service, and a range of amenities including golf courses, tennis courts, and a spa where you can indulge in relaxing treatments.
The Inn is a few streets back from the beach near shopping and dining. They have a beach club that is front beach with 3 pools, a restaurant and spa! It’s super walkable, but their team is available to golf cart you anywhere too.
My friends loved the spa, but since I was only 9 weeks, I could not get a massage. Note to self: you’ll want to be out of your first trimester for a babymoon in Boca Grande, Florida!
5. St. Augustine, Florida
I recently was a bridesmaid in my best friend’s wedding in St Augustine. I was so impressed with the charming, colonial town with it’s centuries-old architecture, cobblestone streets and colorful buildings.
To get there, fly into Jacksonville International Airport and drive about an hour south along I-95.
You can stroll hand-in-hand along the historic district, exploring landmarks like the Castillo de San Marcos, the oldest masonry fort in the continental United States. For a touch of romance, take a scenic boat tour along the Matanzas Bay or take a walk through the streets lined with Spanish moss-draped oaks.
Whether you’re history buffs, foodies, or simply seeking a tranquil escape, Saint Augustine checks all the boxes for an unforgettable babymoon experience in Florida.

Where to Stay in St. Augustine
When it comes to accommodations fit for pampering parents-to-be, look no further than the Casa Monica Resort & Spa, Autograph Collection. This luxury hotel combines historic charm with modern amenities, offering a serene oasis where you can unwind and savor this special time together.
My second choice and equally as amazing is the adults-only, The Collector. This charming inn is situated in a great location next to St. George Street making it easy to walk everywhere.
The Collector consists of a collection of nine historic buildings dating back to the 18th century, each meticulously restored to retain its charm while offering modern amenities. The intimate nature makes it perfect for a babymoon in Florida.
6. St. Petersburg, Florida
St. Petersburg is a fantastic babymoon destination in Florida, that perfectly blends sun-soaked beaches with a vibrant cultural scene that you will love. To get there, fly into Tampa International Airport and it’s just a quick drive southwest across the bay.
Known as the “Sunshine City,” it offers pristine stretches of sand where you can relax and soak up the rays together.
Beyond the beach, indulge in the city’s rich artistic heritage at the Salvador Dali Museum, home to the largest collection of the surrealist artist’s work outside of Spain.
For a tranquil afternoon, stroll through the Sunken Gardens, a lush botanical garden brimming with exotic plants and serene pathways.
With its blend of relaxation, culture, and luxury, St. Petersburg promises an unforgettable babymoon experience that you’ll cherish forever.
Where to Stay in St. Pete:
When it comes to accommodations, The Don CeSar Hotel stands out as the ultimate luxury Florida babymoon resort. This iconic pink palace on the Gulf of Mexico exudes old-world glamour and provides every modern comfort imaginable.
From rejuvenating spa treatments to gourmet dining options, The Don CeSar ensures a pampering experience for parents-to-be, making it the perfect place to unwind and celebrate your baby to be!
7. Duck Key, Florida Keys
Duck Key is a hidden gem for a babymoon in Florida, offering a combination of relaxation and adventure. Nestled in the Florida Keys, this tranquil island is a paradise for water lovers. You can spend your days snorkeling among colorful coral reefs or paddleboarding through calm turquoise waters.
I like this island resort because you fly into Key West International Airport and drive only 45 minutes along the scenic Overseas Highway to reach it. If you fly into Miami (MIA), it is nearly 2 hours driving which is not ideal for a pregnant person.
Fishing enthusiasts can charter a boat for in shore excursions in pursuit of bonefish or tarpon. If your husband is into fishing he’ll love this, however, this might not be advised for pregnancy depending on how big the fish is! I would definitely stay inshore to avoid any sea sickness and go for smaller sized fish.
For those seeking a more laid-back experience, simply lounging on the pristine beaches with a book in hand is pure bliss!
Where to Stay in Duck Key
When it comes to accommodations, look no further than my favorite Hawks Cay Resort which is the perfect babymoon resort in Florida. I’ve stayed here for fishing trips with my family and it’s always a treat. It’s essentially on its own island with private beach!
This luxury retreat offers upscale rooms and villas with breathtaking views of the ocean or lush gardens. Indulge in rejuvenating spa treatments, savor delicious meals at onsite restaurants, or unwind with a mocktail by the pool.
Hawks Cay Resort provides the ultimate backdrop for expectant parents to relax and enjoy each other’s company before the little one arrives.
8. Palm Beach, Florida
Palm Beach, located on Florida’s southeastern coast, is a dreamy destination for your babymoon! To get there, fly into Palm Beach International Airport and it’s a short drive east across the bridge to the island. This upscale destination is renowned for its luxurious resorts, beautiful beaches, and boutiques
Begin your days with a leisurely stroll along the palm-lined streets of downtown, where you can explore upscale shops and charming cafes. Shopping enthusiasts should not miss the upscale boutiques along Worth Avenue, where you can find everything from designer fashion to treasures for baby-to-be!
Treat yourself to a prenatal massage or a rejuvenating spa day at one of the luxurious resorts.
And, definitely enjoy relaxing on the beach or at the hotel pools.

Where to Stay in Palm Beach
Palm Beach has some of the nicest hotels in Florida making it a great idea for a babymoon.
The Breakers Palm Beach is an iconic oceanfront resort known for its lavish rooms, impeccable service, and extensive amenities including multiple pools, a spa, and golf courses.
The new Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach, is my top choice which promises unparalleled luxury with its beachfront location, world-class spa, and elegant rooms with breathtaking views. Be sure to check out their pools!!
9. Boca Raton, Florida
Boca Raton is located on the southeastern coast of Florida. Getting there is easy: fly into Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and drive about 30 minutes north to reach this coastal gem. Known for its upscale shops, fine dining, and beautiful beaches, Boca Raton is a great idea for parents-to-be.
I would go to Florida simply to stay at the Boca Raton Resort and Spa Palmera, both awarded Five Stars by Forbes Travel Guide! It’s one of the most prestigious resorts in South Florida since the 1920s, offering a wide range of upscale amenities and services including golf, tennis, and more.
The Cloister building features classic Mediterranean Revival architecture characterized by stucco walls, red-tiled roofs, arched windows, and grand columns. It will make you feel like you’ve ventured further than Florida!
Aside from the resort, there is plenty to do in Boca Raton like Mizner Park, where you can shop at upscale boutiques or browse art galleries for a touch of cultural exploration. And, don’t miss the Boca Raton Museum of Art, featuring fascinating exhibits. Of course, it’s along the coast so the options for water-based activities ie endless.
10. Amelia Island, Florida
Last, but certainly not least is Amelia Island, located on Florida’s northeast coast. Accessible by car, it’s approximately a 5-hour drive from Atlanta, Georgia, and only 35 minutes from Jacksonville, Florida. If you are flying, you would arrive to JAX and make the short drive. This makes it convenient for couples seeking a relaxing getaway without extensive travel.
Once on the island, expect a blend of beaches, historic charm, and scenic landscapes perfect for bike rides. Future parents can indulge in activities like spa treatments, sunset beach walks, or exploring the island’s rich history through guided tours of Fort Clinch State Park or the Amelia Island Museum of History.
Where to Stay in Amelia Island
For my luxury travelers, Amelia Island boasts top-notch accommodations. The Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island offers elegant oceanfront rooms and world-class amenities, including a renowned spa and gourmet dining options.
Alternatively, the Omni Amelia Island Plantation Resort provides a tranquil escape with expansive grounds, a championship golf course, and multiple pools perfect for unwinding before the arrival of your little babe.
Best Time to Take a Babymoon
The best time to take a babymoon is usually in your second trimester before week 28. This is when the morning sickness has usually passed and while you still have energy!
However, for a low key domestic trip to the Sunshine State, I think you can push this a bit. I visited Florida for my babymoon during week 33 and it was perfect for lounging on the beach, getting a prenatal massage and dining at the best restaurants.
If you want to partake in more adventurous activities like fishing or kayaking, your sweet spot is probably before week 28 when you’ll start to get more of a bump as baby grows!
