Service at Rosewood Bermuda

I’m going to cover service first because let’s be honest, that is what makes or breaks a luxury hotel in my opinion! Anyone can have a nice property, but it’s the people who make it exceptional.

Arrival Experience

Rosewood Bermuda makes a beautiful first impression. As you arrive through the gates, you’re greeted by manicured grounds, colorful gardens, and stunning water views that immediately set the tone for a relaxing stay.

Before we even reached the lobby, our arrival got off to a slightly unusual start. The hotel had arranged our airport transfer, but we were accidentally dropped at one of the residential areas of the property rather than the main resort entrance. Our taxi driver was so nice and he did share that it was his first day (so he gets a pass!), but after a day of travel with luggage, a toddler, and an infant, it wasn’t exactly the smooth arrival we were hoping for.

To the hotel’s credit, once we called, they quickly sent a shuttle to pick us up and bring us to the main resort.

The check in experience, however, was a bit mixed.

When we arrived with our luggage and two young children in tow, the initial interaction from the front desk staff felt surprisingly transactional for a hotel of this caliber. I found myself initiating the conversation rather than being welcomed upon arrival. Another team member eventually offered us water and a refreshing mocktail, which was appreciated, but the overall check in process lacked some of the warmth and personalization I’ve come to expect from a five star resort.

Rather than receiving an overview of the property, we were handed a QR code to access a digital resort map. While this may not bother many travelers, I personally appreciate when luxury hotels take a few moments to orient guests to the property (in addition to a helpful map or QR code), especially at a sprawling resort like Rosewood Bermuda. Our front desk agent said maybe 10 words to us and was not very welcoming and it was the same on departure. It’s not hard to say “welcome to Bermuda”, “thanks for staying with us” or “how was everything?”.

That said, once we settled in, the beauty of the property quickly took center stage. The atmosphere throughout the resort is peaceful, elegant, and relaxed.

Service Throughout Our Stay

While our arrival experience left room for improvement, the service throughout the rest of our stay was largely excellent.

Dining

The standout service experience was undoubtedly in the restaurants. Every meal felt genuinely warm and welcoming, and the staff consistently went above and beyond to accommodate our family.

Many of the team members we interacted with were from the Philippines and their hospitality was exceptional. They were kind, attentive, and incredibly thoughtful with our children. Whether it was bringing extra items before we even had to ask or taking time to engage with our toddler, they made every meal feel special.

It’s easy to train service standards. Genuine warmth is much harder to teach and the dining teams excelled at both.

Housekeeping

Housekeeping was another highlight of our stay.

Our housekeeper, Sara from Costa Rica, was absolutely wonderful. On her first day, she took the time to learn our names and even wrote them down so she would remember them throughout our stay. She left coloring pages for our two year old, greeted us warmly each day, and added thoughtful touches that made us feel genuinely cared for.

Those small moments are often what separate a good hotel stay from a memorable one and Sarah embodied the kind of personalized service that luxury travelers remember long after they return home.

Concierge & Beach Club

The Beach Club staff were friendly and efficient, helping everything run smoothly throughout our stay. Shuttle transportation was easy and service on the beach felt attentive without being intrusive. They have flags that you just put in the sand behind your chair when you need something which makes it so easy!

We didn’t rely heavily on the concierge during our visit since we planned to spend most of our time enjoying the resort, but the team was available whenever needed and helped arrange our airport transfer before arrival. They were so so kind when we emailed!

My Honest Take on Service

If I were rating service across the resort, I would give high marks to the restaurant teams, housekeeping, and Beach Club staff.

The front desk experience was the weakest part of our stay (even beyond just check in – whenever we spoke with them during our stay including a cold check out process too). It wasn’t poor service by any means, but it lacked the warmth, anticipation, and personalization that I typically associate with a luxury resort at this price point.

As someone who has worked hotel front desks and spends a significant amount of time reviewing luxury hotels, I tend to notice these details more than the average traveler. First impressions matter though and the arrival experience helps set expectations for everything that follows.

Fortunately, the service we experienced throughout the rest of the resort was much stronger and reflected the level of hospitality I would expect from a property carrying the Rosewood name.

Rooms & Suites at Rosewood Bermuda

Our One Bedroom Harbour View Suite

For our stay, we booked a One Bedroom Suite and the extra space made all the difference traveling with a toddler and an infant.

The suite felt more like a small apartment than a hotel room. On one side, there was a spacious living area complete with a dining table, kitchenette, fireplace, full bathroom, and a balcony overlooking the ocean. It gave us plenty of room to spread out during naps and relax after the kids went to bed.

The bedroom was equally spacious and featured a king bed, sitting area with a television, a large walk in closet, and an oversized bathroom with dual vanities, a soaking tub, and a separate shower. The bedroom also had its own private balcony, which quickly became one of my favorite spots to enjoy the view.

One of the most unique features of this room category is its location just below the main hotel building. Guests staying in these suites are provided with a golf cart to get around the property, which ended up being one of our favorite parts of the stay. My toddler thought it was the greatest thing ever and it made getting to the pools, restaurants, and lobby both convenient and fun.

That said, the suites are still very close to the main hotel. We often walked up the nearby stairs rather than using the golf cart, so it never felt isolated from the rest of the resort.

Family Friendly Room Amenities

As a parent, I was especially impressed by the amenities Rosewood provided for young children. These hotels really are so great for families with babies.

Prior to arrival, the team arranged a crib, changing table, diaper pail, bottle warmer, bottle washer, and mini refrigerator for our room. I only requested a crib – they just provided all of this! Having these items waiting for us made traveling with two young children significantly easier and helped the suite feel truly family friendly.

The separate living room also gave us flexibility during naps and early bedtimes, which any parent can appreciate.

I also loved that on arrival, they sent a local cheese tray and milk & cookies for the littles!

The View

The ocean views from our suite were stunning. From both balconies, we had beautiful views of Bermuda’s turquoise water, and waking up to that view each morning was one of the highlights of our stay.

Dining at Rosewood Bermuda

One thing that pleasantly surprised me during our stay was the food. Resort dining can be hit or miss, especially when you’re eating most of your meals on property, but we genuinely enjoyed our dining experiences at Rosewood Bermuda.

The menus offered plenty of variety, the service was excellent throughout, and there were enough options that we never felt bored despite staying primarily at the resort.

Island Brasserie

Island Brasserie is the resort’s signature restaurant and where we enjoyed breakfast each morning and also serves dinner.

Breakfast

Breakfast at Island Brasserie was included with our stay because I booked through my preferred partnership with Rosewood Bermuda. This is one of my favorite perks to offer clients because breakfast can easily cost a family close to $100 per day.

Now, back to the food.

Breakfast was genuinely excellent and far exceeded what I typically expect from a hotel breakfast. Most mornings I ordered the chia pudding along with a fresh juice, though I also loved the coconut yogurt bowl. As someone who eats mostly plant based, I appreciated having several thoughtful vegan options beyond the standard fruit plate or oatmeal.

My husband worked his way through more of the menu and particularly enjoyed the huevos rancheros.

Everything we tried was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented.

Our toddler’s favorite breakfast quickly became a smoothie paired with the restaurant’s “colorful Cheerios” (aka Froot Loops). While she was thrilled, I do wish there had been a few more healthy cereal options available for children. Since she has an egg allergy, breakfast choices can sometimes be limited when traveling.

Lunch & Dinner

We also enjoyed a late lunch here one afternoon after we arrived and it was equally enjoyable. I ordered the fish sandwich along with a few glasses of champagne while soaking in the relaxed atmosphere.

Sul Verde

Sul Verde ended up being our favorite restaurant at the resort.

In fact, we loved it so much that we ate there twice during our stay.

Located at Tucker’s Point Club, Sul Verde serves Italian cuisine with beautiful views overlooking the golf course and water. The atmosphere strikes a nice balance between upscale and relaxed, making it equally suitable for date night or dinner with family.

The pizzas were excellent, the pasta dishes were some of our favorite meals of the trip, and the service was consistently warm and welcoming.

If you’re staying at Rosewood Bermuda, I would absolutely prioritize dinner here at least once. They serve the same kid menus you will find across the resort too!

Beach Club Restaurant

The Beach Club Restaurant was another standout during our stay.

After a morning at the beach, there’s something especially satisfying about sitting down for lunch without having to leave the ocean behind. The restaurant offers a larger menu than I expected, with plenty of options for both adults and children.

We enjoyed beachside lunches featuring tacos, salads, grilled cheese, fresh fruit, and plenty of snacks for our daughter. The setting itself may have been my favorite part. Few things beat lunch with an ocean view and sandy feet.

The Beach Club made it easy to spend an entire day by the water without ever feeling the need to head back to the main resort.

Conservatory Bar

One evening we had dinner at Conservatory Bar, which ended up being one of the most memorable nights of the trip. We also did a lunch here before we left!

We ordered a cheese pizza for our daughter while my husband and I shared several small plates, including a cheese board and ahi tuna tacos. We had the tacos again for lunch before we left – so good!

The food was good, but what really made the evening special was the live entertainment. The resort hosted salsa dancing that night and our toddler was completely captivated. Watching her dance alongside the local dancers and then joining her myself became one of those unexpected travel memories that I’ll always remember.

Those little moments often become the highlights of a family vacation.

Is the Food Worth It?

Overall, yes.

The food at Rosewood Bermuda was consistently good, and there were several meals that we genuinely loved. While I wouldn’t describe the dining as a destination in itself or particularly representative of Bermuda’s local food scene, the quality was strong across the board and we never had a disappointing meal.

The highlights for me were the breakfasts at Island Brasserie, the pasta at Sul Verde, and the casual lunches at the Beach Club.

Combined with the exceptional service we received in the restaurants, dining became one of the strongest aspects of our stay. The people were truly just so kind and genuine.

Pools at Rosewood Bermuda

One thing Rosewood Bermuda does exceptionally well is provide a variety of pool experiences depending on the type of vacation you’re looking for. Between the main resort and Beach Club, there are four pools in total, making it easy to find a spot that fits your mood.

Main Resort Pools

The main hotel features two beautiful pools surrounded by loungers, gardens, and ocean views.

The atmosphere here felt relaxed and family friendly without ever feeling crowded. We spent most of our pool time at the main resort pool, which was absolutely gorgeous and conveniently located near the heart of the resort.

One morning, I even noticed a mommy-and-baby swim class taking place, which was such a sweet touch and speaks to how family-focused the resort can be. We didn’t participate, but it was fun to watch.

Family Friendly Pools

Families with young children will appreciate the thoughtful pool setup.

One of my favorite features was the shallow zero entry pool designed for younger guests. It was the perfect depth for babies and toddlers to splash safely and gain confidence in the water.

As a parent, I always notice when resorts genuinely consider the needs of families, and this pool felt intentionally designed with little ones in mind.

Between the main pool and the children’s pool areas, there was plenty of space for families to spread out and enjoy the day.

Adults Only Pool

If you’re looking for a quieter atmosphere, head to the adults only pool at the Beach Club.

This infinity pool overlooks the ocean and is absolutely stunning. While I didn’t get the chance to spend much time there during this trip, I walked over to take a look and immediately wished I had a few child free hours to enjoy it.

The views are spectacular and the setting feels much more serene and secluded than the family pools!

Couples and adults traveling without children will likely find themselves spending a loooottt of time here. I would!

Pool Service

Service around the pools was attentive and friendly throughout our stay.

We didn’t spend a lot of time at the pools, but you could easily enjoy a relaxing day lounging in a chair with cocktails!

Pool vs. Beach Club: Which Did We Prefer?

While the pools were beautiful, I think the answer depends on what kind of day you’re looking for.

The main resort pools are ideal if you want easy access to your room, restaurants, and resort amenities. Everything is conveniently located, and the atmosphere feels lively but relaxed.

The Beach Club, on the other hand, offers more of a destination experience. Between the pink sand beach, ocean views, adults only infinity pool, beachside dining, and attentive service, it’s easy to spend an entire day there.

Personally, we found ourselves spending our time at the Beach Club. Our daughter wasn’t particularly interested in spending hours in the pool during this trip, so we enjoyed a mix of pool time and Beach Club visits. That said, the main resort pool became our favorite simply because it was so beautiful and convenient for our family.

Whether you’re traveling as a couple, with friends, or with young children, I think Rosewood Bermuda has one of the best pool setups on the island.

Spa & Wellness at Rosewood Bermuda

Sense, A Rosewood Spa

While I didn’t book a treatment during our stay, I did spend some time exploring Sense, A Rosewood Spa, and it was every bit as beautiful and tranquil as you’d expect from a luxury resort!

The spa is tucked away from the main resort areas and immediately feels peaceful and secluded. What stood out most to me was the outdoor spa garden, which was absolutely lovely! Surrounded by lush landscaping and quiet corners to relax, it felt like a true escape from the rest of the resort.

The spa offers a variety of treatment rooms, massages, facials, and wellness therapies, along with indoor and outdoor relaxation spaces where guests can unwind before or after treatments.

Fitness Center

I didn’t make it to the gym during our visit, but my husband planned to use it after his morning run.

At the time of our stay, the fitness center was operating out of a temporary space, and he ultimately decided not to work out because the facility felt quite small and limited.

The good news is that Rosewood Bermuda appears to be investing in improvements to its wellness facilities, and it sounds like expanded fitness offerings may be coming in the future. Since projects and timelines can change, I’d recommend checking directly with the resort for the latest updates before your stay if fitness facilities are important to you.

Wellness Programming

Rosewood Bermuda offers several wellness activities designed to help guests slow down and recharge during their stay.

Morning wellbeing classes include both Vinyasa Yoga and Slow Flow Yoga, offering options whether you’re looking for a more energizing workout or a gentler practice. Classes are designed to welcome all experience levels, which makes them approachable even if you’re new to yoga.

Additional fitness classes and wellness experiences are offered throughout the year as well!

While I didn’t personally take advantage of many of the wellness offerings during this trip, that’s more a reflection of traveling with two young children than the resort itself. I would have loved to!

From the serene spa gardens to the yoga programming and planned fitness facility enhancements, wellness is clearly an important part of the Rosewood Bermuda experience. If you’re planning a couples getaway, girls’ trip, or simply hoping to carve out some time for yourself during your vacation, I could easily see the spa becoming a favorite part of your stay.

Tucker’s Point Club & Golf

One of the things that sets Rosewood Bermuda apart from many other luxury resorts on the island is its connection to Tucker’s Point Club. Beyond the beautiful accommodations and Beach Club, guests also have access to golf, tennis, and additional club amenities that make the resort feel more like a private members’ club than a traditional hotel! I think it’s reason enough to book because of the access!

Tucker’s Point Golf Club

Even though we didn’t play golf during our stay, my husband would have loved to. The course is one of the resort’s biggest draws and a major reason many travelers choose Rosewood Bermuda over other luxury hotels on the island. We’d definitely go back with other families and let the guys play golf!

The 18-hole course winds through Bermuda’s rolling landscape with ocean views and beautifully maintained fairways. From several points throughout the course, golfers can enjoy sweeping views of the turquoise water that Bermuda is famous for. It is really so beautiful! We saw so much of it while golf carting around the property.

Whether you’re an avid golfer planning an entire golf getaway or simply hoping to squeeze in a round during your vacation, Tucker’s Point Golf Club is a significant advantage that few Bermuda resorts can match.

Tennis & Racquet Facilities

In addition to golf, guests have access to tennis and racquet facilities through Tucker’s Point Club.

The resort regularly attracts active travelers looking to balance beach days with recreation, and the racquet facilities provide another option for guests who enjoy staying active while on vacation.

Club Amenities

What I appreciated most about Tucker’s Point Club is how it expands the overall resort experience.

Rather than feeling limited to a hotel and beach club, guests have access to a wider collection of amenities that create a true resort destination. Between the golf course, dining venues, Beach Club, pools, spa, and recreational activities, there’s enough to keep guests entertained for days without ever needing to leave the property.

If you’re comparing luxury resorts in Bermuda and golf is important to you, Rosewood Bermuda should be at the very top of your list.

Things all the parents want to know!

Is Rosewood Bermuda Good for Families?

Yes, Rosewood Bermuda is a genuinely strong option for families, especially if you’re looking for a luxury resort that still feels great for adults while thoughtfully set up for children.

We traveled with both a toddler and a 4 month old, and while it’s definitely a resort that appeals to couples and golfers as well, it is very well suited for family travel.

We were there on a Sunday and the beach club was kid central! I think it was a lot of locals who are club members, because Monday/Tuesday was much quieter.

Kids’ Club / Rosewood Explorers

Rosewood offers its Rosewood Explorers program, which is the resort’s kids club experience. It looked well done with engaging activities and a nice setup with playground.

One important note for families is that children typically need to be at least 3 years old to participate. Our toddler was just under that age, so she wasn’t able to join during our stay, but it’s absolutely something I would look forward to on a future visit as she gets older.

Family Pools

The pool setup is one of the highlights for families.

Between the main resort pools and the dedicated shallow zero entry pool, there are plenty of options for younger children. The zero entry area in particular was perfect for babies and toddlers, offering a safe and easy space for splashing and play.

Even when we weren’t in the water for long stretches, the pool areas felt comfortable, clean, and easy to navigate with kids.

Beach Club

The Beach Club is another major win for families.

With its soft sand, calm setup, and easy access to dining and lounge chairs, it’s simple to spend an entire day by the water. There’s enough space that families don’t feel cramped, and service makes it easy to relax without constantly packing up and moving around.

I will say, the water was a bit rough when we were there so our daughter didn’t do more than jump in the waves. A calmer beach would have definitely been nice especially if you want to swim. My husband did swim and it was calmer once you got past the break. 

That said, it’s worth noting that the Beach Club requires a shuttle ride from the main resort, which adds a small layer of logistics when traveling with little ones.

Family Suites & In Room Amenities

One of the things that really elevated our stay was how well the resort prepared our suite for our family.

Before arrival, the room was fully set up with thoughtful baby and toddler amenities, including:

• Full changing table
• Diaper pail
• Bottle warmer
• Bottle washer
• Mini fridge
• Kids’ toiletries and sunscreen

Having everything ready when we arrived made a huge difference and took away so much of the usual travel stress with young children.

Children’s Dining Options

Dining was also very family friendly across the resort.

Every restaurant we visited had kids’ menus available and there was a good variety of familiar options that made meals easy. From smoothies and fruit at breakfast to grilled cheese, pizza, and simple plates at lunch and dinner, we never struggled to find something for our daughter.

What Families Should Know

Rosewood Bermuda works especially well for families who are comfortable spending most of their time at the resort.

Because the property is not walkable to town and getting around the island with car seats can be a bit complicated, this is more of a “stay and enjoy the resort” kind of destination rather than a base for daily exploration in my opinion.

For us, that actually worked in our favor. We were looking for a slow, easy long weekend where everything was in one place.

Why We Would Return With Kids

We would absolutely return to Rosewood Bermuda with our children again and next time we would likely bring another family along with us.

The space, amenities, and ease of the resort make it ideal for a shared family trip. The ease to reach Bermuda from the East Coast made this a huge win for us.

That said, our toddler did start to get a little bored after a few days of just pool, beach, and resort time. This wasn’t a fault of the hotel, just a reminder that even the best family friendly resorts can feel repetitive for very young kids if you stay in one place the entire time. We could have done a 1/2 day exploring St. George’s or if she had been old enough for the kids club that would have helped!

For a long weekend or a 3–4 night stay, though, it felt like a great trip!

Who I Recommend Rosewood Bermuda For

Rosewood Bermuda is one of those resorts that works for a wide range of travelers, but it definitely shines most for certain types of trips IMO!

Perfect For

Couples
This is a great couples’ getaway, especially for a relaxed luxury escape. That said, I personally wouldn’t choose it for a honeymoon. It feels less like a romantic, ultra secluded honeymoon resort and more like a luxe, elevated family beach vacation. Still very enjoyable for couples, just not my top honeymoon pick.

Golfers
An incredible golf destination. Between Tucker’s Point Golf Club and the overall resort setting, this is a standout choice for a golf trip, especially if you want to bring your partner or family along and mix golf with beach time.

Families
One of the strongest luxury family options in Bermuda. The space, amenities, pools, beach club, and dining all work really well with kids. We would stay here again for sure!

Multigenerational Trips
I can easily see this working for grandparents, parents, and kids traveling together. There’s enough variety in activities that everyone can do their own thing and still come together for meals and beach days. We would have loved to bring ours!

Babymoons
This would be a lovely babymoon option thanks to the spacious rooms, easy access from the airport, and overall relaxed resort feel. We actually saw a couple on a babymoon here!

Maybe Not For

Honeymoons
While beautiful, I would typically steer honeymoon clients toward something like The Loren instead. Rosewood Bermuda just doesn’t feel quite as intimate or romantic as other options in this category.

Travelers Wanting a Walkable Location
If you want to step out of your hotel and explore restaurants, shops, and nightlife on foot, this isn’t the right fit. Rosewood is more of a stay on property resort experience.

Guests Seeking a Trendy Boutique Vibe
This isn’t a design forward, ultra modern boutique hotel. It’s classic, polished, and resort driven rather than trendy.

Guests Wanting True Beachfront Rooms
The beach is beautiful, but it’s located at the Beach Club rather than directly in front of the main rooms. If your dream is stepping straight from your room onto the sand, this may feel like a mismatch.

Rosewood Bermuda really excels when you lean into what it is: a spacious, service driven, luxury island resort with incredible amenities and destination in itself. It’s especially ideal for families, golf focused trips, and relaxed luxury getaways where you’re happy to settle in and stay put!
