I just got back from our incredible family summer vacation where we stayed at Four Seasons Resort Mallorca at Formentor for 4 days. We traveled to Spain as a family with a baby and toddler and the hotel could not have been more perfect for a family while still delivering a luxury/adult experience. I am so excited to share allll about it in this Four Seasons Mallorca Hotel Review!
Four Seasons Resort Mallorca at Formentor quickly became a hotel where I’m already wondering when we can go back. And, I don’t say that often because I usually want to go somewhere new!
We stayed here in September with our two little ones, who were 2 years old and 7 months at the time, and it was such a special experience for our family. From the welcome mocktail and being shown straight to our suite to the beautiful sandy beach, incredible dining and our boat day, there was so much to love. And even with all of the thoughtful family amenities, it never felt like a “family resort.” With an adults only pool, amazing spa and beautiful spaces throughout, I think couples and honeymooners would love it just as much.
As a luxury travel advisor, I can actually see Four Seasons Mallorca working wonderfully for so many different types of trips. It quickly became one of my favorite hotels we’ve stayed at, but in this review, I want to go beyond telling you how much I loved it. I’ll share the details of our stay, the rooms, beach, pools, dining, kids’ amenities and more so you can decide if Four Seasons Mallorca is the right fit for your trip.
And if you decide to stay here, let me know so I can add special VIP perks to your stay including my FS preferred partnership rates, $100-$200 (for suites) hotel credit, upgrades if available, and flexible check in/out times along with my personal support if you need it! The rate is the same (or sometimes better) and you have me in your corner if anything goes sideways. Style: Luxury beachfront resort surrounded by pine forest and nature
Best for: Families, couples, honeymoons, multigenerational trips and travelers looking for a true resort experience

Wellness: Full-service spa, fitness center, yoga and hiking/cycling trails
Set in Formentor in northern Mallorca, Four Seasons feels like a true escape from the rest of the island. The resort is surrounded by pine forest and sits directly along the beautiful sandy Formentor Beach, so you get nature, beach, and luxury resort amenities all in one place!
There are plenty of reasons to stay here without ever leaving the property, from the beach and multiple pools to the spa, restaurants, kids and teen programming and private boat dock. At the same time, you’re well positioned to explore northern Mallorca when you want to get out and see more of the island. But it is remote from most of Mallorca.
One thing I think is particularly special: Four Seasons has managed to make the resort incredibly family-friendly without making it feel like a family resort. There are thoughtful amenities and activities for kids everywhere, but couples and honeymooners have plenty of spaces and experiences that feel completely their own.
My 5 Favorite Things About Four Seasons Mallorca
If you are short on time…
There was a lot to love about our stay, but these are the five things that really stood out to me and made Four Seasons Mallorca quickly become one of my favorite hotels we’ve stayed at.
1. The toddler-friendly family pool

As a mom traveling with a 2 year old and a 7 month old, this was a huge win for me. The family pool has a large, very shallow section where little ones can sit, splash and play, while the rest of the pool gets deeper for bigger kids and adults.
My daughter absolutely loved it and, honestly, made so many little friends here. It was one of those simple things that made our days at the resort so easy and enjoyable. I also really appreciated having lifeguards at the family pool, which is such a thoughtful touch when you’re traveling with young kids.
2. The food was actually SO good
I wasn’t expecting the dining to be one of my favorite parts of the resort, but it really was. We had some genuinely memorable meals here, and I loved that we didn’t feel like we needed to leave the resort to find great food.
Shima, the resort’s Japanese-Peruvian restaurant, was a standout for us. Go hungry!! We also loved Llum i Sal, the beachfront restaurant, which is exactly the kind of relaxed, beautiful lunch spot you want when you’re spending the day by the Mediterranean.
I’ll get much more into all of the dining options later in the post, because I think the food deserves its own section.
3. Having a sandy beach right at the resort

This might sound obvious for a Mallorca hotel, but it was actually a big part of why I loved Four Seasons for our family.
Mallorca is famous for its beautiful coves and calas, but many of them aren’t the easiest places to spend a full beach day with a toddler. Having a beautiful, sandy beach right outside the resort made such a difference for us. We could easily head down to the beach, let our daughter play in the sand, get in the water and then head back to the resort when we were ready.
For families with little kids, I think this is a huge advantage.
4. Breakfast was a highlight

I am always a little skeptical of hotel breakfast buffets, but Four Seasons Mallorca’s breakfast was one of the best parts of our stay.
You have the full buffet with so many options, but you can also order from the menu, so breakfast never felt repetitive (though I got the tofu scramble each day lol). And as someone who eats mostly plant-based, I really appreciated having genuinely good healthy and vegan options, including things like a tofu scramble, alongside all of the classic breakfast favorites.
There was also a crepe station which is definitely a hit with kids and fun to watch!
One detail I especially appreciated was how clearly allergens were labeled, including on the buffet. It’s a small thing, but it makes navigating breakfast so much easier for anyone traveling with food allergies or dietary restrictions like us. My daughter has an egg allergy so it’s not always so obvious.
5. The location feels like another world
Four Seasons Mallorca is in Formentor, tucked into the northern part of the island and surrounded by pine forest and the mountains of the Tramuntana. It feels incredibly secluded and peaceful, almost like you’ve entered a completely different world from the busier parts of Mallorca, Spain.
That was a huge part of the appeal for me. We could have a full resort day with the beach, pool, great food and our boat day without feeling like we needed to be constantly getting in the car and exploring.
And yet, you’re still in Mallorca and can absolutely get out and explore when you want to.

Who Should Stay at Four Seasons Mallorca?

One of the things I loved most about Four Seasons Mallorca is how versatile it is. As a luxury travel advisor, I could see recommending this hotel for so many different types of trips and I don’t think you need to be traveling with kids to really appreciate what makes it special.
We stayed here with our almost 3 year old and 7 month old baby, and it was one of the best family friendly luxury hotels we’ve experienced. But at no point did it feel like we were staying at a hotel that was primarily designed for families. There are so many thoughtful amenities and activities for kids, but they are balanced by beautiful adult spaces, an adults-only pool, an amazing spa, excellent dining and a setting that feels incredibly romantic.
Families
This is an especially good choice for families with young kids. The shallow area of the family pool was a huge hit with our daughter and having a sandy beach right at the resort made beach days so much easier than some of Mallorca’s beautiful but rocky coves.
There are also kids’ and teen programming, family-friendly activities, kids’ amenities and plenty of ways to keep everyone entertained without having to leave the resort. Four Seasons also offers spacious family suites and connecting room options, which makes it easier to find accommodations that work for different family setups.
Couples & Honeymooners
I definitely love Four Seasons Mallorca for a couples trip or honeymoon, too. I think it would incredible if you are doing a European babymoon.
The adults-only pool, beautiful spa, romantic setting, excellent restaurants and secluded location give couples plenty of opportunities to have a relaxing, grown-up vacation. You could spend your days at the beach or pool, book a spa treatment, enjoy a long lunch at Llum i Sal, have dinner at Shima and take a private boat out along the coast.
In fact, I think couples could stay here and barely notice all of the family amenities happening around the resort.
Multigenerational Trips
I would absolutely recommend Four Seasons Mallorca for a multigenerational trip, and honestly, I kept thinking throughout our stay how nice it would have been to have grandparents with us!
There is enough going on for everyone to make the trip their own. Kids can spend time at the family pool or kids club, adults can enjoy the adults-only pool or spa, and everyone can come back together for a beautiful meal, a beach afternoon or a boat day.
I also love that there are so many beautiful spaces throughout the resort where a larger family can gather without feeling crowded. It would be such a lovely setup for grandparents, parents and kids to have both time together and plenty of opportunities to do their own thing. For a multigenerational trip where everyone wants something a little different from their vacation, I think Four Seasons Mallorca would be an especially easy choice.
In terms of family accommodations, they have plenty of suites including a two bedroom suite for families/friends and conencting suites so everyone can be together if they want.
If You Want a True Resort Vacation
This is probably the biggest thing I’d tell someone considering Four Seasons Mallorca: come here if you actually want to enjoy the resort.
The location in Formentor feels secluded and removed from the busier parts of Mallorca, and there is enough to do on property that you can easily spend several days without feeling like you need to get in the car every morning.
Of course, you can explore the island, and I absolutely recommend doing that. But I wouldn’t book Four Seasons Mallorca if your plan is to spend every day sightseeing from morning until night. I’d give yourself time to enjoy the beach, pool, restaurants, spa and the resort itself since it’s fairly remote.
Who Might Want to Stay Somewhere Else?
If your priority is being within walking distance of restaurants and shops, staying in a charming Mallorcan village or having a more intimate boutique hotel experience, this wouldn’t be my first choice.
The location is intentionally secluded, which is one of the things I loved most about it. But that also means you’re committing to more of a resort experience.
My Opinion as a Luxury Travel Advisor
If a client told me they wanted a beautiful luxury hotel in Mallorca where they could relax, eat really well, spend time at the beach, have a boat day and still have plenty to do with their kids, Four Seasons Mallorca would be very high on my list.
But I’d also happily recommend it to a couple celebrating a honeymoon or anniversary.
That’s what makes this resort so special to me. It doesn’t feel like a family hotel that happens to welcome couples or a couples hotel that happens to allow kids. It genuinely works for both.
My recommendation is to pair this hotel with one other. We stayed here for half the week and then at La Residencia in Deia and it was a great combination!

The Rooms at Four Seasons Mallorca
Okay, let’s get into the rooms which is probably what you really want to see!
One of the first things I look at when I’m evaluating a luxury hotel for my own family or for a client is the room configuration. A beautiful room is great, but when you’re traveling with little kids, you also need space that actually works for real family life!
Four Seasons Mallorca has several room and suite categories, with options that work for couples, families, multigenerational trips and larger groups. There are also connecting room options, so you have quite a bit of flexibility when it comes to creating the right setup for your trip.
Our Grand Pine View Suite

We stayed in the Grand Pine View Suite and it was an incredible setup for our family of four. The suite gave us so much more space than a standard hotel room, which made a huge difference when we were traveling with a baby and a toddler! We were in room number 415 for reference!

The suite has a spacious living area with a dining table, a separate living room and a bonus full bathroom, along with a completely separate bedroom and bathroom.
The bedroom bathroom was especially beautiful, with a soaking tub, large walk-in shower, double sinks and a spacious closet.

There was also a connecting door off of the living room, which I loved because you could easily expand the suite with an additional room if you needed even more space. I think this would be a great option for a family traveling with older kids, grandparents or friends.
For our family, the layout worked really well. We had a crib set up in the living room for our baby while our toddler slept with us in the bedroom. We could have fit another crib in the living space if we needed it, which is something I always like to think about when reviewing rooms for families with babies and toddlers.

And then there was the balcony. It stretched across both the bedroom and living room and overlooked the sea and resort. It was such a beautiful spot to sit and enjoy the view, and having outdoor space directly off both sides of the suite made the room feel even larger. Plus a place to hang out when the kids were napping or sleeping in!
There was also a dedicated bar area with a mini fridge, Lavazza coffee maker and bar setup, which was really convenient for a family with little ones.
I also really loved the light switches here!! And if you stay in a lot of hotel like me, you know. There are plenty of switches but there are multiple buttons on each to either dim the lights or power all on or off! It makes it so easy.
Thoughtful Amenities for Families

Four Seasons really went above and beyond with the little touches for our kids. The room came stocked with baby essentials including soap and swim diapers, and the hotel provided cribs complete with the cutest Four Seasons touches: little bucket hats and bibs for the kids, plus their signature goat mascot plush toys. My daughter especially loved that they gave her a room key shaped like the goat mascot and she loved opening the door with it!
These are small details, but they’re exactly the kind of things that make a hotel feel genuinely welcoming to families rather than simply being “kid friendly” on paper.
Other Room & Suite Categories

There are several room and suite categories at Four Seasons Mallorca, so you have quite a few options depending on who you’re traveling with and how much space you need.
They even have plunge pool rooms, though not as private as you’d probably want depending on which ones.
For larger families or groups, there are even two bedroom suites, along with various connecting room configurations. If you’re traveling with kids, I would definitely think through the room layout rather than simply booking based on the view or room size. Having a separate living space, connecting room or additional bedroom can make a huge difference when you’re working around naps, early bedtimes and different sleep schedules.
Planning a family stay at Four Seasons Mallorca? If you’re not sure which room category makes the most sense for your family, this is something I can help with when I book your stay. I can help you look at the different configurations and determine what will work best for your particular group plus add VIP status to your stay through my preferred partnrships!
The Beach at Four Seasons Mallorca
The Beach Club at Four Seasons Mallorca

The beach is one of the main reasons I would recommend staying at Four Seasons Mallorca. The resort sits directly along Formentor Beach, and the Four Seasons beach club gives you an elevated, easy way to enjoy it while still feeling completely relaxed and beachy.
The water was an UNREAL shade of blue and the sand was soft enough for our toddler to spend plenty of time building sandcastles. We ended up spending a ton of time at the beach during our stay and having such an easy setup with two little kids made it one of my favorite parts of the resort.
Llum i Sal

The beach club’s restaurant, Llum i Sal, was one of our favorite meals at the resort. It has exactly the beachy atmosphere you want from a restaurant like this: relaxed, beautiful and right along the sand.
We had an amazing paella with wine while sitting by the beach and it was one of those meals that just felt like vacation. No need to get dressed up or leave the resort. Just good food, a beautiful view and the Mediterranean right in front of you. What more do you need?!
A Beach Club That Works for Adults AND Families
This is another place where I think Four Seasons Mallorca does something really well.
One afternoon, there was even a live DJ at the beach club. We missed it because it happened to fall during nap time, but I loved knowing that there was this livelier side of the resort happening too.
You could come here as a couple, spend the morning at the beach and stay for a DJ set with a cocktail, and have a completely different experience than a family spending the day building sandcastles and swimming with their kids.
And that’s something I noticed throughout Four Seasons Mallorca: the resort can be incredibly family friendly without feeling like a family resort. There are all of these thoughtful touches for kids, but the adults only spaces, dining and beach club atmosphere make it equally appealing for couples.
What You Get at the Four Seasons Beach Club
The beach club setup is very comfortable and makes spending a full day at the beach easy. There are cozy lounge chairs and umbrellas, and Four Seasons provides towels and attentive beach service.
A few of the family-friendly touches I appreciated:
- Towels provided
- Comfortable lounge chairs and umbrellas
- Beach service
- Sunscreen station
- Kids’ toy bin
- Paddleboard rentals
- Larger water floats and other water toys, including floats with slides
For families, having the toys and water activities available was such a nice bonus. Our toddler could play in the sand while we relaxed, and there were plenty of options for older kids and adults who wanted to get out on the water.
Is the Beach Private at Four Seasons Mallorca?
One important thing to know: Formentor Beach is not a private Four Seasons beach. The beach itself is public, as is common with beaches in Mallorca.
The Four Seasons beach club and its dedicated setup are for resort guests, but once you leave the resort’s beach area, you’ll find a public beach that can get quite busy and full, especially during the day.
For us, this didn’t take away from the experience because the Four Seasons beach setup itself felt comfortable and well cared for. But if you’re expecting a completely private beach where every inch of sand is exclusive to Four Seasons guests, that’s not what you’ll find here.
That said, the combination of the beautiful sandy beach, incredible water, Four Seasons service and beach club dining is a huge part of the appeal of staying here, especially for families who want an easy beach vacation without sacrificing luxury.
The Pools at Four Seasons Mallorca
The Pools at Four Seasons Mallorca
Four Seasons Mallorca has two main pools and I loved that they offer two completely different experiences. The family pool is designed to actually work for little kids, while the adults only pool feels incredibly peaceful and elevated.
Family Pool

The family pool was our main pool during the stay and even though it was the primary pool for families, it never felt too full or busy.
The pool itself is beautiful, with a deeper section for swimming and a large shallow area that was perfect for little kids. This was a huge win for us with our toddler. She could safely splash and play in the shallow water without us having to spend the entire time holding her and she absolutely loved it.

I also really appreciated having lifeguards at the family pool. It’s one of those small details that makes a big difference when you’re traveling with young children and was something I noticed right away.
We also had a few lunches by the pool and the food was surprisingly good. We had everything from lobster rolls and pizza to a falafel pita that I absolutely loved. It made it easy to settle in for a full pool day without needing to pack everyone up and head somewhere else for lunch. Though there is a gorgeous poolside restaurant and bar if you’d like a table.
Adults-Only Pool

The adults only pool is a completely different experience and, honestly, so stunning and serene.
It’s an infinity pool overlooking the sea and mountains, with a private pool bar and plenty of comfortable loungers. The setting is beautiful and feels incredibly peaceful, making it the perfect spot for couples or adults looking for a quiet afternoon away from the family pool.
As a mom traveling with two babies, I have to admit that I didn’t actually get the chance to sneak away and enjoy it myself, which is probably my biggest regret of the stay!
But having this separate adults only space is another reason I think Four Seasons Mallorca works so well for couples and families alike. Families have a beautiful pool designed with little ones in mind, while adults have a completely separate space that feels quiet, sophisticated and very much like a luxury escape. And there were actually couples still enjoying the main pool, too!
Dining at Four Seasons Mallorca
One of the things that really surprised me about Four Seasons Mallorca was how much we enjoyed the food. There is such a great variety here, from Spanish paella right on the beach to some really good sushi at Shima, so we never felt like we were eating the same type of food over and over. Though if you are there for a week, you might get bored!
I also really appreciated how well the resort accommodated different diets. There were plenty of genuinely good vegan options throughout the restaurants, beyond the usual chia pudding and vegetables. As someone who eats mostly plant-based, I was never stuck choosing between a salad and a side of potatoes. My daughter also has an egg allergy, and I was impressed by how clearly allergens were labeled throughout the resort, including on the breakfast buffet.
We also found kids’ menus at the restaurants, with plenty of choices beyond the standard chicken tenders and fries. That made dining with a toddler much easier.
Here is a look at each of the dining options we experienced:
Mel

Mel is where breakfast is served and was also where we had dinner on our first night. I would consider it the resort’s main restaurant, with a menu that has something for pretty much everyone.
We had dinner here our first night and really enjoyed it. There were plenty of options, including some great vegan dishes like risotto and vegetable pastas.
One thing you absolutely should not miss: the fried artichokes. They were SO good!
We also ordered a few things from the Mel menu when we were dining at Cercle Bar, which was nice because you could enjoy the restaurant’s food in a more casual lounge setting outside!
Llum i Sal

If you’re looking for a quintessential Mediterranean lunch, this is the spot.
Llum i Sal is the beachfront restaurant, with a breezy, relaxed atmosphere right along the sand. And definitely get the paella. We had an amazing paella here with wine while sitting by the beach, and it was one of my favorite meals of the trip.
There is plenty of seafood on the menu, and the whole experience feels exactly like what you want from a beachside restaurant in Mallorca.
Cercle Bar

Cercle is the lobby bar and we loved the atmosphere here. There is both indoor and outdoor lounge seating, making it a nice spot to grab a drink at different times of day.
The cocktails were great, and I liked that you could grab a drink without it feeling overly formal. We also ordered food from Mel here, including those amazing fried artichokes again!
Shima

Shima was one of our favorite dinners at the resort. If you’re a sushi fan, I would definitely make a reservation here during your stay.
We had some incredible sushi rolls, and I loved that there were also kid friendly options like vegetable rolls and chicken yakatori, so we could actually enjoy a nice dinner while still having something our daughter would eat.
My favorite thing we ordered was the Acevichado Maki, with tuna and crispy sweet potatoes on top. It was SO good.
Quiosc

Quiosc is the casual poolside lunch spot, set in a pretty garden like space near the family pool. You can also order the same menu for poolside dining, which is exactly what we wanted on a pool day.
The menu has things like lobster rolls, wraps, salads and other casual lunch options. We had the falafel pita and lobster roll one day, and our daughter got both a pizza and chicken fingers.
This was another thing I appreciated about the resort. You can be in swimsuits by the pool with your kids and still have a really good lunch without needing to leave the pool area.
Crocant

Crocant is the casual ice cream window and it was a definite favorite with our toddler.
There are ice cream and sorbet options, along with smoothies, and my daughter especially loved the strawberry sorbet. It’s such a fun little stop after the beach or pool.
Breakfast at Four Seasons Mallorca

Breakfast deserves its own mention because it was honestly one of my favorite meals at the resort. One of my favorite parts was that they offer your their fresh juices of the day when you sit down!
The buffet was huge and had pretty much anything you could want, from traditional breakfast items and meat stations to fresh-squeezed juices, fruit, chia pudding and a crepe station. But what I loved most was that you could also order from the full breakfast menu, so you weren’t limited to what was on the buffet.
As someone who eats mostly plant based, I was especially happy to see genuinely good healthy and vegan options, including a tofu scramble. I appreciate chia pudding as much as anyone, but I don’t want to eat it for breakfast every morning on vacation! Having actual savory vegan options made a big difference.
The allergy labeling was also excellent. My daughter has an egg allergy, and having allergens clearly marked throughout the buffet made breakfast much less stressful.
For families, I think this is one of the strongest breakfast setups I’ve experienced at a luxury resort. There is enough variety that everyone can find something they want, and you can take your time and enjoy a proper breakfast before heading off to the beach or pool.
Private Dining Experiences
We didn’t personally take advantage of the private dining experiences during our stay, but Four Seasons also offers special private setups and experiences, including things like picnics and other romantic dining arrangements.
I think these would be especially beautiful for honeymoons, anniversaries or couples celebrating something special. It’s another example of how the resort can feel completely different depending on how you choose to experience it.
Have I convinced you yet?? Check rates for your stay here 🙂
Our Four Seasons Mallorca Boat Day
Want to add a private boat day to your Mallorca itinerary? I can arrange experiences like this for my clients, and honestly, this was probably my favorite day of our entire trip. The boat day is ALWAYS the best day for me!
We booked a private boat through Four Seasons Mallorca for a few hours and it was such an amazing way to see more of the island. We cruised along the coastline, stopped to swim in these incredibly clear calas, and got to see parts of Mallorca that we simply would not have seen otherwise.
This was especially valuable for us because we were traveling with a 2 year old and a 7 month old. We knew we weren’t going to spend the day driving around Mallorca and beach hopping with two little kids, so the boat gave us a way to experience more of the coastline without constantly getting everyone in and out of the car. Plus, the boat dock is right at the resort!

A Boat I Felt Comfortable Bringing My Kids On
I grew up on boats, but I am actually pretty hesitant about taking babies on them. I just don’t love the idea of having a tiny baby or toddler on a boat that feels small, unstable or easy to fall off of.
I felt really comfortable on this boat.
It was large and felt very stable, with taller sides that made me feel much better about having our toddler walking around. There was plenty of seating, a dining table, lounge areas on both the front and back of the boat, and a swim platform with a ladder that made getting in and out of the water really easy.
Our captain was also so nice and made the whole experience feel very relaxed. He had beer and wine for us, and we could really just sit back and enjoy the day.
And the water was INSANE. The coastline around Mallorca is so beautiful from the water, and getting to jump off the boat and swim in those crystal clear calas was one of my favorite memories from the trip.

Was It Worth the Cost?
Okay, I will be honest. It was expensive.
But for us, I actually think it was sooo worth it.
If we had been traveling without kids, we probably would have explored Mallorca very differently. With two little ones, though, we didn’t want to spend our vacation driving all over the island just to see different beaches and coves.
The boat let us see so much of the coastline in just a few hours and we could do it in a way that still felt easy and enjoyable with the kids. Because putting kids in and out of carseats is just not it!
If you are staying at Four Seasons Mallorca and have room in your budget for one big experience, this is the one I would recommend. Especially for families who want to see more of Mallorca without turning the day into a road trip.
This is also something I can arrange for my clients staying at Four Seasons Mallorca. If you are booking your stay with me, let me know what kind of experience you have in mind and I can help coordinate the details.
Things to Do at Four Seasons Resort Mallorca
One of my favorite things about Four Seasons Mallorca is that you really don’t have to leave the resort to have a great vacation. There is so much to do between the beach, pools, kids club, spa, fitness classes and daily activities.
We definitely didn’t do everything during our stay, especially with two little ones, but I loved having so many options depending on what kind of day we wanted.

1. Spend the Day at the Beach
The beach was a huge part of our stay. Four Seasons sits right on Formentor Beach, so it was incredibly easy to walk down for a few hours, build sandcastles with our toddler, swim and have lunch at Llum i Sal.
I also loved that the beach worked for both a relaxed family day and a more lively adults only afternoon. You can read more about the beach and beach club above.
2. Have a Pool Day
We spent quite a bit of time at the family pool, and it was perfect with our 2 year old. The large shallow section made it easy for her to play while we could still enjoy the pool ourselves.
If you’re traveling without kids, there is also a beautiful adults only pool overlooking the water. So you can have a completely different pool experience depending on the kind of trip you’re taking.
3. Take a Boat Day
Our boat day was probably my favorite experience of the entire trip. We booked a private boat through the resort and spent a few hours exploring the coastline and swimming in crystal clear calas.
With two little kids, this was such a great way for us to see more of Mallorca without spending the day driving around the island. You can read all about our boat day above.
4. Kids Club
Four Seasons Mallorca has Kids For All Seasons, with activities and programming for younger guests.
We didn’t use the kids club a ton during our stay because our kids were still pretty little, but I love having this option available. It would be especially nice for families staying for several nights who want to give the kids something fun to do while parents have a little time to themselves. ALSO, did you guys know that you can still take your kids to the club even if they are too young to be dropped off! You just have to supervise them which is soo nice when your kids just want to play and get them out of the sun a bit!
5. Teen Club
There is also programming for teenagers, which I think is such a nice addition for families traveling with older kids.
This is one of those things that makes me think Four Seasons Mallorca would be particularly good for a multigenerational trip. Everyone can have their own activities during the day and then come back together for dinner or time at the beach.
6. Spend a Day at the Spa
If you want some downtime, the resort also has a beautiful spa and wellness program.
There are plenty of ways to build in some time for yourself, whether that’s a spa treatment, time at the spa pool, yoga or simply taking a little break from the kids while someone else keeps an eye on them.
Honestly, this is another reason I would love to come back with grandparents. 😂
7. Hike and Explore Formentor
One thing I really liked about Four Seasons Mallorca is that they offer programming that gets you out and exploring the area around the resort, too.
The resort offers guided hikes through Formentor, which is such a beautiful part of Mallorca. If you want to experience more of the landscape without having to figure out a route yourself, this would be a great way to do it.
There are also plenty of opportunities to explore the area on your own if you have a rental car or want to arrange transportation.
8. Try a Culinary Experience
If you’re a foodie, there are also culinary experiences available at the resort. Think wine tastings, cooking classes and mixology experiences.
I think these would be especially fun for couples or groups of friends, and they are a nice option if you want to have an experience without leaving the resort.
9. Check the Daily Activities Calendar
And finally, check the events calendar during your stay!
There was something happening pretty much every day when we were there, from Pilates and yoga classes to DJ sets, kids activities and other resort programming.
We obviously didn’t make it to everything with a toddler and baby, but I loved knowing we could look at the schedule each morning and decide what sounded fun.
That’s really what makes Four Seasons Mallorca feel like a true resort vacation to me. You can have a completely lazy beach and pool day, fill your schedule with activities, book a boat, spend the afternoon at the spa or just wander around and enjoy the property.
You really can make the trip as busy or as leisurely as you want.
Four Seasons Mallorca for Families
I’ve talked a lot about this already, but wanted to make this section to go more in depth and for those of you skimming!
As someone who traveled to Four Seasons Resort Mallorca with a toddler and infant, I was really impressed by how much thought went into making the resort work for families. And importantly, it never felt like we were staying at a kids resort.
There are plenty of things for older kids and teens to do, but there are also so many little details that make traveling with a baby or toddler easier.
Kids and Teen Clubs
Four Seasons Mallorca has Kids For All Seasons with both indoor and outdoor play areas and activities for kids. The kids club is designed for children ages 4 to 12, while the Teen Centre is available for older kids and teens.
Our daughter was still too young to be dropped off on her own, but here is a little tip I loved: you can still bring younger kids into the kids club as long as a parent or caregiver stays with them.
This is so nice to just let the little ones play and have a break from the sun for a little while. We didn’t take advantage, but we should have. We did go to the one at La Residencia and my daughter was soooo happy to play with some toys for an hour.
I think this is such a nice option for families with younger kids who aren’t quite ready for a traditional kids club drop off yet.
Kid Friendly Dining and Menus

Dining with kids was also really easy here. There were kids menus available at the restaurants with plenty of choices, so we never felt like we were struggling to find something our toddler would eat.
And the food was actually GOOD. This was one of my favorite surprises about the resort because sometimes kid friendly dining can feel like an afterthought. Here, there were plenty of options for our daughter while we could still enjoy really good food ourselves.
The breakfast buffet was another huge win, especially with little ones. There were so many choices that everyone could find something they liked. Breakfast was definitely her biggest meal of the day which is usually not the norm for us!
I also really appreciated how clearly food allergies were labeled throughout the buffet and restaurants. Our daughter has an egg allergy and having everything clearly marked made meals much less stressful for us.
Baby Amenities
This is where Four Seasons really impressed me. They had so many thoughtful little touches for babies and toddlers that made our room feel ready for our family when we arrived.
Our room had cribs, a diaper pail and baby amenities, along with toddler soaps, swim diapers and hooded towels. They even had cute FS Mallorca goat mascot animals waiting for the kids, which our toddler loved.
They also gave the kids their own room key cards, which was honestly adorable. Our daughter thought she was VERY important having her own key and loved getting to use it. It gave her a little bit of independence and made her feel like she was part of the hotel experience which I really LOVED!
And then there were the little extras. We had cute Four Seasons bucket hats and bibs for the kids, plus plenty of things available around the resort to make beach and pool days easier.
At the pool, there were lifeguards at the family pool, which I really appreciated with a toddler. Down at the beach, there was a bin of kids’ toys and things like pool noodles available to use.
They also provided soap and swim diapers in the room, which meant a few less things for me to pack.
These might sound like small details, but when you are traveling with a baby and toddler, the small details are what make a luxury hotel feel truly welcoming to families.
Would I Recommend Four Seasons Mallorca for Families?
Absolutely yes! 1000%!
I’ve said this many times, but IIthink the biggest thing that stood out to me is that Four Seasons Mallorca doesn’t feel like a family resort. You can be there with a baby and toddler and have everything you need, but couples without kids are having a completely different experience just a few steps away at the adults only pool, spa, beach club or one of the restaurants. If I was there before having kids, I would have never noticed any of the kids things!
For families, especially families with young kids, I think the combination of the sandy beach, family pool, kids programming, spacious rooms, great food and thoughtful baby amenities makes this a really easy place to stay.
And if you are traveling with grandparents or another family member who can help with the kids, I think it gets even better. There are so many ways for everyone to enjoy the resort without having to do everything together.

How to Book Four Seasons Mallorca With VIP Perks

I can book Four Seasons Mallorca for my clients through the Four Seasons Preferred Partner program, which means you can receive added perks and have me as your point of contact before and during your stay. Four Seasons Mallorca Review: My Honest Opinion
After spending several nights at Four Seasons Mallorca with our 2 year old and 7 month old, I can honestly say this is one of my favorite hotels we’ve stayed at.
And I think what surprised me most was how well it worked for our family without ever feeling like a family resort.
We had the family pool, kids activities, sandy beach and all of the baby amenities we could have needed, but we also had an incredible adults only pool, beautiful spa, great restaurants, cocktails at Cercle and a boat day that was honestly one of my favorite experiences of the entire trip.
That balance is hard to get right.
I also really loved the location. Formentor feels secluded and peaceful, surrounded by pine trees and right on the beach. You can absolutely spend several days here without leaving the property, which is exactly what I wanted with two little kids. At the same time, there are plenty of ways to get out and explore more of Mallorca when you want to.
A Few Things to Keep in Mind
It isn’t the right hotel for everyone.
Four Seasons Mallorca is in Formentor, so it is intentionally removed from some of Mallorca’s other popular areas. If you want to spend your days exploring Palma, hopping between villages or driving to a different beach every afternoon, I would probably recommend staying somewhere else or splitting your trip between two hotels.
We also split our Mallorca trip between Four Seasons Mallorca and La Residencia in Deia, which gave us two very different experiences. I loved both for completely different reasons and I actually think splitting a longer Mallorca trip between the two could be an amazing option depending on what you want from your vacation.
If you want a beautiful beachfront resort where you can slow down, eat really well, swim, explore the coastline and still have plenty to do with kids, I think Four Seasons Mallorca is one of the best luxury options in Mallorca!
Want to stay at Four Seasons Mallorca? I can book the hotel for you with Four Seasons Preferred Partner benefits and help with everything from choosing the right room category to arranging experiences like our private boat day. Hotel only bookings have no planning fee, so if you already know this is the hotel you want, you don’t have to hire me to plan your entire Mallorca trip to work with me. I love VIP’ing my clients at incredible hotels like this one.
