If you’re planning a trip to the Amalfi Coast and want to indulge in some delicious cuisine, you’re in luck! This guide will take you on a culinary adventure, showcasing the best restaurants in Amalfi Coast that not only serve delectable dishes but also offer breathtaking views of the coastline. Get ready to tantalize your taste buds and feast your eyes on the beauty of the Amalfi Coast.
I will be sharing a few of the amazing restaurants we tried on the Amalfi Coast plus a few that were on our list. So many restaurants, never enough time!
I do want to point out that all of the restaurants here were overwhelmingly accommodating to dietary restrictions. Even being pregnant, places made sure things were cooked fully without me having to ask or offered me mocktails or NA wine. Each menu featured a page with all of the possible allergens for every single dish. Nowhere in the states has been this considerate and thoughtful.

Best Restaurants in Amalfi
A few of my favorite restaurants in Amalfi and Amalfi town!
Sensi
Sensi is a Michelin star restaurant located in Amalfi, Italy. They focus on fresh seafood offering multiple tasting menu experiences ranging from 4 to 8 courses. They also offer a vegan menu that looked delicious.
We chose the traditional menu which was incredible. My favorite dishes were the zucchini flowers stuffed with ricotta then lightly fried and the zucchini linguini – probably my favorite pasta of the trip!
Not only is the food incredible, but the atmosphere. We loved dining on the romantic outdoor terrace as the sunset around us. Be sure to request a table on the terrace when you make reservations!
Da Ciccio Cielo Mare Terra
I adore Da Ciccio! This family run restaurant is in a beautiful location run by the sweetest family since 1911! They are on their 4th generation!
When I emailed to make a reservation, they were so warm and kind offering to provide a shuttle service to/from our hotel. One of the brothers picked us up and told us all about the restaurant/family on the way. All 4 brothers are apart of the business and their dad still does all the farming for the restaurant! Their mom is the pastry chef and we got to see her while we were there too. I loved supporting this family business.
They are known for their famous seafood pasta that’s been around since 1965. It’s a spaghetti in parchment paper with clams and it’s to die for! You can order a la carte or from a tasting menu. We did the Ciccio’s tasting menu and it was a ton of food! So good, but bring your appetite.
Leisurely Tip: Be sure to enjoy a drink on the terrace before dinner – it’s THE most beautiful view! Then, you can move inside for dinner.
La Libreria
I would put La Libreria up there in Michelin star status! The restaurant is located at the hottest new hotel in Amalfi: Borgo Santandrea. The dining room is designed with mid-century modern decor with a Mediterranean flare to it. The views from the arched windows are breathtaking as you dine on carefully crafted courses designed by Chef Crescenzo Scotti. Speaking of the chef, he has earned a Michelin star himself and I imagine he’s got another one on the way with La Libreria.
We had the pescatarian tasting menu and it was divine. It was supposed to be 6 courses, but with all of the “surprise” courses it was closer to 10! We left quite full. Some of our favorites things were the crystal bread for its uniqueness, red mullet, and of course the dessert featuring fresh Amalfi lemons!
Best Restaurants in Positano
A few must try restaurants in Positano!
La Sponda Positano
La Sponda is a must-visit restaurant on the Amalfi Coast for those seeking a romantic dining experience. Located in the iconic Le Sirenuse hotel, this restaurant offers a charming atmosphere with its candlelit dining room and stunning views of the coast. The menu at La Sponda features traditional Mediterranean cuisine, with a focus on fresh seafood and locally sourced ingredients. From homemade pasta to flavorful seafood dishes, there is something for everyone. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply looking for a memorable dining experience, La Sponda is the perfect choice.
La Sponda is THE most popular restaurant in Positano because of the spectacular views. Honestly, it has mixed reviews on the food/cost, but we would have given it a try. It’s located in the famous Le Sirenuse hotel with the most picturesque view of Positano. Reservations are hard to get, so make a plan to book well in advance! We unfortunately could not get a reservation as this whole trip was planned pretty last minute.
Da Adolfo
Da Adolfo is a hidden gem on the Amalfi Coast that can only be accessed by boat, adding to its charm and exclusivity. This beachside restaurant offers a laid-back and rustic vibe, perfect for those looking for a more casual dining experience. The menu at Da Adolfo is focused on fresh seafood, with dishes like grilled fish, octopus salad, and spaghetti with clams. The restaurant also has its own private beach where you can relax and soak up the sun before or after your meal. If you’re looking for a unique and off-the-beaten-path dining experience, Da Adolfo is a must-visit.
Il Tridente at Hotel Poseidon
Il Tridente is one of the cutest restaurants in Positano! The hotel’s restaurant is open to visitors where you can enjoy lunch or dinner on their terrace overlooking Positano and the coastline. The view is stunning, but the food also matches. Reservations open 14 days in advance so be ready to book when the clock strikes midnight!
Da Gabrisa
Da Gabrisa was another restaurant I really wanted to try. Not only does the view from their terrace look like the most incredible atmosphere, but the dishes look equally appealing! Recipes passed down from earlier generations, the restaurant runs on family and fresh ingredients found only in Positano.
Zass
I wanted to try Zass for the view alone. But their one Michelin star is also a good reason to go! It’s located right outside of main Positano town with incredible views looking out towards the sea. Situated at the San Pietro Hotel, chef Alois Vanlangenaeker has been creating dishes showcasing the Mediterranean flavors for many years. It’s romantic, charming, sophisticated, idyllic and the one place you should absolutely visit if you are a foodie or just looking for a memorable dining experience.
Best Restaurants in Sorrento
Don’t miss these incredible restaurants in Sorrento while visiting the Amalfi Coast.
Lo Scoglio
Lo Scoglio is a must-visit restaurant for seafood lovers on the Amalfi Coast. We came across this restaurant via Stanley Tucci’s Searching for Italy Show which you absolutely should watch before visiting Italy. He RAVES about their zucchini pasta dish here.
Situated in the charming fishing village of Marina del Cantone, this restaurant offers a menu that showcases the freshest catch from the sea. From succulent grilled fish to flavorful seafood pasta, every dish at Lo Scoglio is prepared with the utmost care and attention to detail. The restaurant’s stunning location right by the sea provides diners with breathtaking views while they enjoy their meal. Whether you’re looking for a romantic dinner or a memorable lunch with friends, Lo Scoglio is the perfect choice for a gastronomic experience that combines delicious food with a picturesque setting.
We didn’t go because Sorrento was a bit far from where we stayed, but it is HIGH on my list for next time! It is easily one of the best restaurants in Amalfi Coast.
Il Buco
Il Buco is a beloved restaurant in Sorrento that offers a true taste of traditional Neapolitan cuisine. Run by a local family, this charming eatery is known for its homemade pasta, which is made fresh daily. From classic dishes like spaghetti alle vongole (spaghetti with clams) to hearty meat dishes like osso buco (braised veal shanks), Il Buco serves up authentic flavors that will transport you to the heart of Italy. The restaurant’s cozy atmosphere and friendly staff make it a favorite among locals and tourists alike. Don’t miss the opportunity to indulge in a truly memorable dining experience at Il Buco.
And those are all of my picks for the best restaurants in Amalfi Coast! Will you try any of these tasty spots?
