I’m sharing all of my favorite ideas for more unique bachelorette parties (and bachelor parties, too) during December, January or February. As a winter bride myself, we hosted my bachelorette in January and I knew I wanted to go somewhere sunny and warm! Read on to hear all about what I chose and some others on my radar!
Warm Winter Bachelorette Party Destination
Once winter hits, these are some of the best tropical bachelorette destinations to consider for your big weekend! I’m also sharing several southern US cities that are on the warmer side during the winter months.
1. San Juan, Puerto Rico
Personally, I hosted my January bachelorette party in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The weather was perfect – warm on the beach and pool, but never unspeakably hot! We were able to spend days on the beach, explore historic Old San Juan, take a sunset sail, and traverse the rainforest!
It’s super appealing to travelers since it is a US territory, but located in the Caribbean. This means you do not need a passport, English is prevalent, and they use the USD. You will be going international, but with all the familiarities of home – even the skeptics can get on board with this!

2. 30A Florida
Florida is always a good choice for winter bachelorette party destinations. If you haven’t heard of 30A, it is a highway that runs along the gulf coast connecting tons of charming beach towns. The water is crystal clear and the sand is white – no passport required! Relax on the beach, watch amazing sunsets, golf cart everywhere, and even enjoy a boat day!
I went to 30A for a bachelorette in February and it was amazing. We had warm beach days, and did bonfires in the evening. Here is our fabulous airbnb that everyone LOVED – the house is called “She Salty” and that really set the scene for our group!

The best airbnb located in Santa Rosa Beach. The pool is heated so it will still be nice in the winter months!
3. Tulum, Mexico
What I love about Tulum is how laid back it is compared to nearby Cancun. Sip margaritas beachside, take a morning yoga class, explore the ancient ruins, and take a dip in the bright blue water of the cenotes.
In addition, Tulum is a foodie paradise with amazing restaurants where you can stroll along the beach to dinner. They have fun jungle vibes (hello, Gitano) and are open air so you can dine under the stars!
My husband chose Tulum for his bachelor party in December and they had the best time. Although, the guys literally drank on the beach all day and didn’t even see the ruins or cenotes! *eye roll*
Now you can fly into the all new Tulum Airport (TQO) making this destination easier to reach than ever!

Two airbnb options, one located in Tulum Town and one in the Beach Zone! I would go straight for the beach zone personally.
Leisurely tip: My husband’s bachelor party chose to stay in an airbnb in town and said it was somewhat challenging to uber back and forth to the beach zone multiple times a day.
4. Cabo San Lucas, Mexico
Another Mexico option is Cabo! It’s warm year round and there are tons of water based activities to enjoy. Plan to spend a day sailing to the iconic El Arco (The Arch) which is a scenic natural rock formation. If you are more adventurous, Cabo is known for whale watching so take a tour to spot these magnificent creatures. The best months to catch them are November – March.
Stay in one of these incredible airbnb villas and hire a private chef to prepare your meals. Plan to enjoy dinners at the many restaurants and later take part in the nightlife.

There are SO many amazing villas in Cabo that are perfect for large groups. I would look for one with a pool and great views looking toward to ocean. Honestly, think I would pick Cabo solely based on the houses.
One our friends did a bachelor party in Cabo and the guys booked this amazing house – I was jealous the wives weren’t invited!

5. Charleston, South Carolina
Charleston is always a great idea for a girls weekend. Stay in a boutique hotel or charming airbnb in the historic district so you can walk to everything! Your group will love shopping on King Street, boozing on rooftops, and eating their way through the amazing culinary scene.
In the winter, it won’t be warm enough for the beach, but the weather is fairly moderate. Sometimes we get days in the 70s and other years it’s cooler in the 50s – could go either way!
There are still plenty of great winter activities for bachelorettes like making your own candles, designing charm bracelets at HART, shopping on King Street, having a spa day, or eating your way through the city! It’s also the best time to sightsee and enjoy the walkability of Charleston.

6. Miami, Florida
Miami is a great East Coast winter bachelorette destination because it’s so accessible for most people. The flights are short and usually inexpensive. Enjoy the white sandy beaches, pool parties, and hit the clubs at night.
If you aren’t sure where to stay, here’s a breakdown. South Beach is known for its party scene, North Beach is more quiet and laid back, and Wynwood is a trendy more eclectic neighborhood known for its colorful wall murals.
My game plan for a Miami bachelorette party? Rent a house with a big pool so you can all enjoy a pool party at home! The next day, rent a yacht with Boatsetter to spend the day on the clear blue water. Later, have a chef cook for you at the house or head to some of the amazing restaurants located in Miami like Mandolin. Lastly, plan a big brunch for Sunday before everyone heads home.

7. Mexico City
I took a long weekend trip to Mexico City in December and had an amazing weekend tasting the local flavors and enjoying the Mexican culture. CDMX is the largest city in North America and very accessible. There are tons of direct flights from the US especially from Texas. You’ll likely only have to make one connection at most.
Mexico City is known for their incredible restaurants like Rosetta and Pujol. You’ll want to book dinner reservations early.
Plans some fun activities to include shopping in swanky Polanco, exploring el centro historico, mini China Town, or taking a canal cruise in Xochimilco. You will absolutely want to check out Bosque de Chapultepec – like Central Park but larger – and tour the Chapultepec Castle.

We stayed at the Four Seasons Mexico City and it would be a great home base! I personally would pick a hotel in Mexico City over an airbnb for safety precautions.
8. Savannah, Georgia
Savannah is a great idea this time of year for the perfect bachelorette weekend. This historic city is a picturesque destination known for its squares with live oak trees draped in spanish moss. While the weather isn’t hot, it is moderate and ideal for sightseeing.
Head to River Street to partake in the nightlife in the evenings of your bachelorette party weekend. You can carry an open container around in Savannah so it makes for a great bar hopping spot. During the day, see the historic sites, shop the local boutiques and take a trolley tour.

There are plenty of amazing hotels to book in Savannah. For a bachelorette party though, I recommend The Alida for its proximity to River Street. The hotel features two KING BEDS in their double rooms so you all can have plenty of room. It has a rooftop bar with cosy fireplace that is perfect for winter days. You can also rent a MOKE which is a low speed vehicle perfect for sightseeing around town and of course great for photo ops!

Cold Winter Bachelorette Party Destinations
Moving into some colder and snowy destinations for a winter bachelorette party!
9. New York City
New York City has it all. There is so much to see and do from dining at world-renowned restaurants to seeing iconic sights like the Statue of Liberty. You could spend months exploring everything the city has to offer.
In the winter, plan to take your girls ice skating, on a stroll through Central Park, and even see a Broadway Play. Relax in the evenings at great restaurants and lively bars.
I attended a NYC bachelorette party in March and we even got to see a little snow!
10. Telluride, Colorado
Head to Colorado to the charming town of Telluride. It’s a great destination year round for the skiing in winter and hiking in the summer.
Stay in a cozy rental house with a hot tub or at Mountain Village with ski in/out access. Spend your days on the slopes and obviously indulge in a little après-ski!
In the evening you can take the Gondola to the top of the mountain for dinner with a view or explore the charming downtown with great restaurants, shops, and bars.

How amazing is this modern home! Plus, it has a hot tub which will be amazing in the winter after a day of skiing.
11. Asheville, North Carolina
And last on my list of the best winter bachelorette party destinations is Asheville. Asheville has become a top destination for a bachelorette party in recent years. This hippie town is filled with breweries (see: Sierra Nevada and Wicked Weed), great restaurants like Curate, and easy access to national parks!
Spend the day at the Biltmore House enjoying a tour of the grounds pretending like you’re on Downton Abbey and then taste wine at their vineyards! We did this for a friends bachelorette party and had a great time.
Or you could spend the whole weekend at the Grove Park Inn having a relaxing spa experience. This would be fun for a winter bachelorette so you could cozy up with their massive fireplaces!
