One of my top factors when deciding on a luxury property is: does it have a private plunge pool? There’s no greater luxury than having your very own private pool right in your room. Imagine you’re in your favorite swimsuit, sipping a crisp glass of rose while watching the sunset. Talk about a vacation! So, I am sharing all the top hotels with private pools that I have LOVED during my travels. I’m also rounding up a few that are on my list as soon as I can make my way to them.

The Best Hotels with Private Pools
Whether planning a romantic getaway, honeymoon or even a girls weekend, you will absolutely love having a private pool in your hotel room or villa. Here are some of the most incredible hotels with private pools from the Caribbean to the Indian Ocean!
1. Six Senses Zil Pasyon – Seychelles

Number one on my list is easily the Six Senses Seychelles. It’s the ultimate in luxury hotels and where I stayed for my personal honeymoon!
The villas are to die for with spacious rooms, a swing in the bathroom, soaking tub overlooking the sea, and impeccable service from the hotel staff.
But my favorite feature is the private infinity pool on the expansive patio – you can practically swim laps in it. There is room for a table, multiple lounge areas, and a massive swimming pool all for you. Enjoy overlooking the Indian Ocean from this incredible hotel room.
And at night, you’re in for a treat as the pool floor lights up with tiny lights resembling the stars you’ll see above.
2. Casa Chameleon Las Catalinas – Costa Rica

Casa Chameleon at Las Catalinas is one of my favorite intimate hotels. The boutique property is perched on a cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean side of Costa Rica. The hotel is adults only and they only have 21 villas on property.
The main pool is incredibly stunning with drink service and amazing views for sunset. But, having your own plunge pool is incredible so you can find privacy from the other guests. My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend in Costa Rica and the room with private plunge pool could not have been better.
It features and infinity pool, day bed, lounge chairs, dining table, and space for outdoor yoga sessions! The room also came with a Marshall bluetooth speaker which made it so fun to put on Bob Marley playlist and lounge by our pool!
Be sure to book a private massage on your pool patio too! We did and it was a highlight for sure!

3. Verina Astra – Sifnos, Greece

Verina Astra is located on the small Greek Island of Sifnos. It’s known as the foodie island and has to be one of the best kept secrets. The island is very small with limited accommodation and no airport making it the perfect escape without too many tourists. If you can find availability, you must book a visit here during your Greek vacation!
The rooms at Verina Astra are all amazing with that quintessential Greek Isles minimalist and whitewashed design. However, you will want to book their newer suites called “Indus” or “Norma” for the private infinity pool at this hotel.
We stayed in the Norma Suite and it was the most amazing room. We’d stayed at the hotel once already before they built these new private pool suites. We new when we returned we had to book one of these rooms.
The pool is quiet big and overlooks the Aegean Sea without any obstructions – the view is the best part of staying at this hotel! The whole outdoor area includes a dining table, sun bed, outdoor shower, plus two small chairs next the infinity pool. 10/10 recommend! Read my full hotel review here!
4. Milos Breeze Boutique Hotel – Milos, Greece

Milos Breeze Boutique Hotel is easily the nicest place to stay in Milos. It’s located in picturesque Pollonia, a quieter side of the island, which has a fishing lagoon surrounded by a few hotels, great restaurants, and several shops. You will want to book one of their several suites with your own private pool. If you really want the nicest option, go for the Hammam Villa with plunge pool and panoramic sea view!
5. Amanyara – Turks and Caicos

I have been eyeing the Amanyara in Turks and Caicos for years. It looks absolutely incredible. It is a super quick flight from the East Coast USA. You can literally leave that morning and be on the beach after lunch!
Aman is known for their private and secluded resorts offering a peaceful escape. The whole facility is so serene along the turquoise waters of the Caribbean. Treat yourself to a relaxing vacation at one of their villas with private infinity pools.
6. Four Seasons Sergengeti – Tanzania
Having an infinity pool in your room does not require a tropical destination. Head to Africa for a bucket list safari experience at Four Seasons Serengeti. The rooms come with private pools so you can relax after a long day of game drives. The best part? Many of the rooms have views of the watering hole so you will be able to spot wildlife from your very own in-room pool. One of the most amazing hotels with private pools experiences!

7. Belmond Cap Juluca – Anguilla
Cap Juluca is an iconic Belmond hotel located along the shores of Anguilla. The all white stone buildings give major Mediterranean vibes, but is actually very accessible in the Caribbean! The private pool villas are the ultimate in luxury offering privacy to unwind. Enjoy your very private pool with direct access to the beach so you can have your cake and eat it too!
8. Ritz Carlton Maldives – Maldives, Fari Islands
The Ritz Carlton Maldives opened in 2021 and is one of the newest hotels in the Maldives. The luxury resort is spread across 3 islands with an overwater quay. But that environment doesn’t mean you will miss any of the luxuries you might want – a tennis court, dive center, photo studio, kids camp, spa, fitness center and shopping at Fari Marina Village.
Choose from a beachfront villa with private plunge pool and direct beach access or an iconic overwater bungalow with private pool The rooms are modern and fresh with simple and modern styling. You’ll love the floor to ceiling window, private hammock, and seamless transition from inside to out!
9. The Brando – French Polynesia
Simply the epitome of luxury. I had The Brando booked for my honeymoon to French Polynesia and then France closed all territories borders due to COVID-19. We ended up going to the Seychelles (which was our original plan – thanks to the pandemic for all the back and forth!) I am still trying to scheme a second honeymoon to The Brando!
If you are planning a trip to the South Pacific, you must stay here for a portion of your visit. The rooms are like having your own private home for the week (they are actually larger than my house) with a private pool right along the beach! I mean look at this photo from their instagram by Jeremy Austin!
10. Grace Hotel Santorini – Santorini, Greece
You won’t find a better place to stay in Santorini. Grace Hotel Santorini is a 5-star property under the Auberge Hotels umbrella. It is built right into the whitewashed cliffs of Imerovigli with that classic Cycladic style.
Not only is there an amazing infinity pool to enjoy at the main deck, but you can book a room with your very own plunge pool on the cliff overlooking the Aegean Sea. The view does not get any better than this.
You will also enjoy world renowned cuisine onsite from Michelin-awarded chef Lefteris Lazarou at Varoulko Santorini.
11. Cali Mykonos – Greece
We stayed at Cali Mykonos last summer when seeking a more quiet retreat on the ‘Party Island’ of Mykonos. Cali Mykonos delivered with the most stunning and secluded hotel in the Greek Islands. It’s famous for it’s main pool as it is one of the longest pools in Europe with an insane view of the Aegean Sea.
We booked a suite with our own private plunge pool and it could not have been better. We traveled with our 11 month old daughter, so it was important for us to have our own pool so we could relax while she napped in the room! The pool was the perfect size for two adults and it overlooked a charming beach and surrounding island.
The whole patio was amazing with a two lounge chairs and a shaded area with sofas and table. Plus, there was an outdoor shower which we loved!

Hotels with Private Jacuzzis
Lastly, I want to share a couple amazing hotels with their own private jacuzzi hot tubs in the room!
12. Awasi Patagonia – Chile

I had to throw in one of my absolute favorite cold weather hotels with private wood-burning jacuzzi! Awasi Patagonia is one of my top favorite hotels in the world. Staying here to experience Patagonia is a bucket list item for sure!
13. The Vines Resort and Spa – Mendoza, Argentina

The Vines Resort and Spa is located in the Uco Valley of Mendoza right along the foothills of the Andes. The resort sits on a private vineyard with over 1,500 acres of grapes. The property also features a fine dining restaurant from famous Argentine chef, Francis Mallman.
The hotel has only 21 villas ranging in size from 1000-2700 square feet. The villas come with their own outdoor soaking tub or jacuzzi so you can enjoy a glass of wine in this private retreat!
