10 Day Seychelles and Dubai Honeymoon Itinerary
Here is how we spent 10 days in Dubai and Seychelles. I’ve gotten very detailed with tons of tips and advice on how planned our trip.
This itinerary begins with day 0 as a travel day because it will take some time and logistics to get there so I’ve shared how our route looked here!
Day 0 – Travel Day
Getting to the Seychelles from the U.S. takes time, so plan for a full travel day (or two). We flew from Charleston to Atlanta, then Amsterdam, and finally Dubai with Delta and KLM before catching our last flight to Mahé on Air Seychelles. It was a long journey, but absolutely worth it once we arrived!
Since our flight landed in Dubai after midnight and our connection to the Seychelles didn’t leave until 8 a.m., we spent the night at the Dubai Airport Hotel right inside the terminal. It was convenient, comfortable, and made the overnight layover much easier.
If you can, I highly recommend booking lie-flat seats or using points to upgrade for the long-haul portion of the trip. It makes a huge difference on such a long journey. Pack a small carry-on with essentials like skincare, a change of clothes, and anything you’ll want to freshen up with during layovers. Little comforts go a long way on travel days like this.
Day 1 – Arrive in Seychelles (Praslin Island)

We left Dubai on an 8 a.m. flight and landed in Mahé about 4.5 hours later. Mahé is the main island and where all international flights arrive. From there, we took a quick 20-minute Air Seychelles flight to Praslin Island. You can also take a ferry, but after such a long journey, the short flight was absolutely worth it.
We checked into Raffles Seychelles, a beautiful property with sweeping ocean views. While we didn’t have the best experience overall (I’ll share more on that later), it’s been a few years, and hopefully things have improved since.
If you’re planning your own stay on Praslin, I’d also recommend looking into Constance Lemuria Praslin Seychelles—I’ve heard wonderful reviews from fellow travelers. We met a woman on our flight staying there and she visits every year!
We spent the afternoon unwinding after all the travel strolling around the resort, lounging by the pool, and sipping cocktails while taking in the views. That evening, we had dinner at the hotel’s sushi restaurant, which was delicious. We sat outside under the warm island air and toasted to the start of our honeymoon(!!!).

Day 2 – Relax at the Hotel + Sunset at Anse Lazio

Our first full day in the Seychelles was all about slowing down and settling into island life. I started the morning with a little movement on our porch using my travel yoga mat and workout bands while my husband headed to the gym.
Afterward, we spent the late morning by the pool with cocktails in hand, followed by a relaxed lunch, paddleboarding, and reading on the beach. It felt so good to finally unwind after days of travel.
In the afternoon, we visited the hotel’s Aldabra tortoise farm, which was such a fun and unique experience. Seeing these giant tortoises up close was a highlight, especially since they’re native to the Seychelles.

That evening, we had a sundowner at Anse Lazio booked through the hotel. Unfortunately, it didn’t go quite as planned. The hotel called several times to adjust our pickup, and when we finally went down, we noticed another couple leaving in a luxury vehicle—at the same time as our original scheduled transfer. A few minutes later, a van with duct tape on the side pulled up for us. Clearly, there had been some double booking and last-minute scrambling.
When we arrived at Anse Lazio, the driver dropped us off and pointed us toward the beach. We wandered up and down looking for our sundowner setup but never found anyone from the hotel. Still, the sunset itself was absolutely magical—golden light, calm waves, and one of the most breathtaking views I’ve ever seen. It’s a moment I’ll never forget and one I’d still recommend to anyone visiting Praslin.
The ride back, however, was a bit of an adventure. As it got dark, our driver never returned, and we struggled to reach the hotel for over an hour. Eventually, someone came to get us—in the pouring rain. When we brought it up with the hotel the next day, there wasn’t much acknowledgment or apology, which was disappointing. Mistakes happen, but at a five-star property, service recovery is everything.
This experience really shaped my overall impression of the resort and it’s why I wouldn’t stay there again. I hesitated sharing because I never want to talk badly, but I always want to be honest with you guys about my travel experiences. This was truly the only negative experience I’ve had visiting 20+ countries.
Even with the hiccups, though, Anse Lazio completely lived up to the hype. It’s one of the most romantic beaches in the Seychelles and truly a must-see at sunset!

Day 3 – Explore Vallée de Mai, Transfer to Félicité Island
I’ll be honest—we skipped Vallée de Mai. I had planned to visit this UNESCO World Heritage site to see the famous Coco de Mer palms and native wildlife, but since we only had a half day on Praslin, I wanted to relax and I was still too jet-lagged to wake up early.
If you do go, it’s best to arrive early in the morning when it’s cooler and less crowded. Entry is around 1,000 SCR per adult, and bring water, sunscreen, and good walking shoes. We drove by and it looked incredible – the palms are SO massive!
For the second part of our Seychelles stay, we transferred to Félicité Island. From Praslin, we took a car to the ferry port where a private boat picked us up for our stay at Six Senses Zil Pasyon.
We chose this resort because it looked incredible—luxury, exclusive, private, with stunning villas and lush island vibes. We wanted to be more off the beaten path than just sticking to the three main islands – there are over 100 that make up the Seychelles!!
Honestly, if we could redo the trip, we would skip Praslin entirely and spend the whole stay here, though you can still do a day trip to Praslin if you want.
When we arrived, the staff was waiting to welcome us, including the general manager. It felt so nice after our previous hotel experience. Our private butler, called a Guest Experience Manager, golf-carted us straight to our villa where champagne awaited. The villa itself was amazing, complete with a private infinity pool and breathtaking views.
We spent the rest of the evening exploring the property, enjoying sunset cocktails at the bar, and dining under the stars. It was a perfect start to the second half of our Seychelles honeymoon.

Day 4 – Relax and Explore Island Beaches

Day four was all about slowing down and soaking in Félicité Island. We spent most of the day lounging on Grande Anse, the main beach at the resort. Almost every time we visited during our stay, we had it to ourselves.
The white sand is stunning, and there are a few cabanas tucked into the shade if you want a break from the sun. On either end of the beach, you can see the iconic Seychelles rock formations rising from the turquoise water—pure paradise.
On the walk to Grande Anse, we passed the resort’s organic garden, where they grow much of their produce right on the island.
Towels and water stations were scattered throughout the property, and small sheds with bathrooms and coolers made trips to and from the beach effortless.
We ended the day watching the sunset from our private pool, then ordered room service and dined on our villa porch. It was the perfect “do nothing” honeymoon day, just enjoying a truly incredible honeymoon destination.

Day 5 – Day Trip to La Digue Island

We started the morning with breakfast at the hotel’s main dining area. The day before, there had been a slight delay with our room service dinner order (which we barely even noticed), but the hotel more than made up for it. Champagne at breakfast was a lovely touch and really exceeded expectations. It was such a warm contrast to our experience at our previous hotel.
After breakfast, the hotel boat took us to La Digue, a short ride away. Once there, we picked up bike rentals since the island has almost no cars. We spent the day exploring L’Union Estate, a colonial vanilla and coconut plantation home to Aldabra tortoises, coconut trees, and the old plantation house. It’s such a charming and unique spot that’s fun to explore on two wheels.
The highlight of the day was Anse Source d’Argent, often considered one of the best beaches in the world. Even though it rained off and on, it made the experience feel peaceful and private, without the crowds. We wandered among the massive granite boulders and lounged on the soft sand.
You can even rent clear kayaks to explore the water on a nicer day. This beach is a must-see on any Seychelles honeymoon—the views are absolutely breathtaking and perfectly capture the magic of the islands.
After that, we returned back toward the ferry docks and grabbed lunch nearby before going back to the hotel.
For dinner that night, we dined at the hotel restaurant. The food and wines were truly so good and blended so many cultures.

Day 6 – Kayak to Cocos Island & Spa Day

One of my favorite experiences of the trip was kayaking over to Cocos Island. The resort’s recreation team helped us with the kayaks and even gave us a phone to contact them while out on the water. The short paddle takes you to a private little island framed by stunning granite boulders. We had the island entirely to ourselves for hours, and it felt completely magical.
If you’re planning this, bring a GoPro and waterproof bag—you’ll want to capture every moment. We brought our drone and it offered an incredible birds eye view.
After returning from the island, we snorkeled at the hotel reef, and it was even more beautiful than I imagined. Swimming among the vibrant marine life in the Indian Ocean felt like something out of a dream—I felt like the little mermaid exploring an underwater oasis! The reefs here are abundant with fish and coral, even though the island is so remote.
In the afternoon, we treated ourselves to a couples massage at the resort spa. The spa has its own infinity pool with incredible views that guests can book and I wished we had known earlier. It would have been perfect to relax there after our treatments, even though our villa had a private pool.

That evening, we caught one last sunset from the main dining/lounge area, and it was spectacular. It was the perfect way to end our days on Félicité Island.
Day 7 – Transfer to Dubai

We left Félicité Island around noon via private helicopter. You can also get back to Mahé by taking a ferry to Praslin and then a flight or ferry to Mahé, but we treated it as more of an experience than transportation. Flying over the island was absolutely surreal—seeing the villas, beaches, and lush greenery from above made for unforgettable views. The entire hotel staff, including the general manager, came out to wave us off, which was such a warm and memorable send-off.
Once back on Mahé, we had time for a beer at the airport before flying to Dubai. The transition from the quiet, secluded islands of the Seychelles to the luxury and energy of Dubai was dramatic but exciting. We checked into our hotel, unpacked, and spent the evening enjoying a relaxed dinner while taking in a quick view of the city skyline.
We stayed at the Four Seasons Jumeirah Beach which was recommended by family living in Dubai at the time. We loved that it was super luxe, right on the beach, and felt more relaxing than some of the more touristy areas. It was also central to everything we wanted to do, making it the perfect base for the next leg of our honeymoon.

Day 8 – Dubai Desert Safari

Okat, this was one of the best days of our honeymoon!! Truly unforgettable! We chose a sustainable desert safari with a company that prioritizes conservation, avoiding dune bashing or sandboarding to protect the fragile ecosystem.
We rode camels named Raja and Jabar across the dunes, wearing traditional headscarves provided by our guides. The desert was breathtaking—vast, peaceful, and unlike anything else we’ve ever seen.
After the ride, we enjoyed a traditional Bedouin-style breakfast at Al Maha Resort, complete with Arabic coffee, fresh dates, and local dishes. We even spotted wildlife like the gorgeous White Onyx. Hands down, this was my favorite part of visiting Dubai. The desert is pure magic. You can read more about our experience in this post.
That afternoon, we returned to our hotel to relax by the pool and beach before meeting family for dinner at Dubai Mall. We enjoyed amazing Italian food while watching the Dubai Fountain show!
Day 9 – Explore Old Dubai

We spent the morning wandering Old Dubai, exploring the vibrant souks filled with spices, textiles, and jewelry. We stopped for tea at the Arabian Tea House, a quiet, charming spot tucked into the historic district.
Afterward, we visited the Burj Al Arab, the iconic sail-shaped hotel, and enjoyed lunch at one of their restaurants. It would also be amazing to book a spa treatment here and spend some time by the pool.

In the afternoon, we relaxed at our hotel pool before heading to dinner at the rooftop restaurant. Dining under the night sky with the Dubai skyline lit up while hearing the call to prayer was such a unique and memorable experience.

Old Dubai was a perfect contrast to the city’s modern areas we’d explored, showing a rich mix of culture, history, and tradition. It felt like the perfect way to round out our honeymoon while experiencing both the serene luxury of the Seychelles and the vibrant energy of Dubai.
Day 10 – Spa Day (Again) & Special Dinner

Our last day in Dubai was all about relaxing and soaking it all in. We started with 90-minute massages at the hotel spa, and I have to say it was the best massage I’ve ever had (and I’ve had quite a few around the world). The spa was serene, beautifully designed, and the perfect way to unwind after a busy few days.
We spent the rest of the day enjoying the beach and pool and sampling the hotel’s restaurants.
For our final evening, we had a special dinner at ROKA, which I highly recommend if you’re in Dubai. We wrapped up our few days in the city with an unforgettable Japanese robatayaki-style experience. Fresh sushi, perfectly grilled fish, and an over-the-top dessert almost too pretty to eat made it one of the best meals I’ve ever had.

The sleek, stylish ambiance and impeccable service made it the perfect farewell dinner. You can choose to sit inside or on the outdoor terrace which both offer great views of the Burj Khalifa. ROKA is a must for fans of Japanese cuisine; the flavors, presentation, and attention to detail are truly next level. It was the perfect way to toast to an incredible honeymoon.
