If you’re looking for an honest Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Otemachi review, you’re probably wondering if it’s worth the splurge and if it works for your travel style. After considering several Tokyo hotels, we ultimately chose this one for its unbeatable location on a metro route, proximity to the Imperial Palace, and walkable access to neighborhoods like Ginza and Jimbocho Book Town. We walked everywhere and loved having the city right outside our door.
In a city as large and fast-paced as Tokyo, it can be overwhelming to find a hotel that balances luxury, location, and comfort especially if you’re traveling with kids. We had our toddler with us, so a great pool, onsite dining, and thoughtful children’s amenities were non-negotiable. As someone who’s stayed in luxury hotels around the world, I was impressed with how well Four Seasons Tokyo Otemachi delivered on every one of those priorities.
Whether you’re planning a romantic getaway, a work trip, or a family adventure, this is a property that feels both sophisticated and warm. In this review, I’ll walk you through our arrival experience, room details, dining, wellness amenities, and how the hotel works for families so you can decide if it’s the right choice for your own Tokyo stay.

Arrival Experience at Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Otemachi
We booked our stay using a Virtuoso rate, which came with VIP perks like resort credit, a complimentary upgrade, and early/late check-in. The upgrade was especially valuable for us—we moved into a spacious corner suite with incredible city views, which made all the difference when traveling with a toddler in Japan. We were also able to check in early, which helped us settle in right away after a long journey. If you want help booking these kinds of perks for your own trip, send me a message here.
For transportation, we worked with the hotel to arrange an airport transfer for our departure, but on arrival, we simply walked—yes, walked—since the hotel is so close to the station and we packed light. The transfer itself was flawless. The car was spotless, comfortable, and stocked with water, making it an easy and stress-free ride.
The driver will actually meet you directly on the train platform, help wit luggage, and make the entire process seamless if traveling via train.
The hotel is located inside Otemachi One Tower, a multi-use building with metro access, offices, and even a small food court. On the first floor, a discreet sign directs you to a reception area where staff greet you before escorting you to the elevators. Once you arrive on the hotel floors, you step into the stunning lobby—a dramatic space with floor-to-ceiling windows framing the Tokyo skyline. The views are breathtaking, and I always love seeing the fresh floral displays that are such a signature of Four Seasons lobbies.

Rooms and Suites at Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Otemachi

We were upgraded to the Panoramic Suite, and it completely exceeded my expectations. The layout offered the best of both worlds—on one side, our king bed overlooked the serene Imperial Palace Gardens, while the living area opened to sweeping views of the Tokyo skyline.
With a toddler in tow, this setup was a dream. We set up her crib in the living room, tucked inside her SlumberPod, and still had space to relax, watch TV, and enjoy a glass of wine after she went to sleep.

Living Area

The living area felt like its own apartment, complete with a sofa and coffee table, dining table for four, and plenty of natural light from floor-to-ceiling windows. I loved having the in-room iPad to access hotel services—ordering room service was as easy as tapping a button. The open layout made it easy to spread out, play with our toddler, or relax with a cup of tea while taking in the city views.
Bedroom

Our bedroom at Four Seasons Tokyo Otemachi featured a king-size bed with crisp linens and pillows that were so comfy!! Blackout curtains kept the room dark and quiet, ensuring a restful night’s sleep. Waking up to the sight of the Imperial Palace Gardens and falling asleep to the city lights was a highlight of our stay.

Bathroom

The suite’s full bathroom felt like a private spa, with a soaking tub, separate rain shower, and double vanity stocked with luxurious toiletries (for our toddler, too!). Lighting was soft yet bright enough for getting ready in the morning. There was also a guest powder room, which makes it easy to host friends or use without disturbing a sleeping toddler.
Closet and Storage

A spacious closet area provided plenty of room for our luggage, complete with soft robes and slippers. They even had a set of toddler pajamas for our little one!!
Storage was well thought out, with space for both folded and hanging items—perfect for keeping everything organized during a longer stay.

Pool at Four Seasons Tokyo Otemachi
I was so impressed by the hotel’s indoor pool which felt more like a serene urban escape than a typical hotel amenity. Floor-to-ceiling windows framed the Tokyo skyline, making every swim feel like a moment to pause and take it all in.

Size and Style of the Pool
The pool is sleek and modern, with a generous length that’s great for both leisurely swims and a few laps. The design is minimal yet luxurious, with calming tones and perfectly maintained water temperature.
Atmosphere
It was quiet and peaceful every time we visited, which I loved. The pool is family-friendly, and the staff went above and beyond to provide a life jacket for our toddler so she could safely enjoy the water. Swimming caps are required (and provided), which keeps everything clean and professional. They’re strict about no photography—which I appreciated for the privacy—but I did sneak one quick shot when we were the only guests there!
Loungers, Poolside Service, and Amenities

Before entering, staff personally escort you in, set you up with fresh towels, and provide your swimming cap. Loungers are arranged along the windows, perfect for relaxing between swims and soaking in the city views. While there isn’t traditional poolside food and drink service here, the peaceful setting and attentive staff make it a relaxing and refined experience.
Fitness Center at Four Seasons Tokyo Otemachi
While I didn’t get a chance to work out myself, my husband did, and I took a good look around. The fitness center is impressive—a bright, spacious gym with floor-to-ceiling windows offering inspiring views of the Tokyo skyline.
There’s plenty of equipment, from cardio machines to free weights, so whether you want a quick workout or a full routine, you’ll find what you need. They also provide complimentary waters and snacks to keep you fueled. Best of all, the gym offers 24-hour access, making it easy to fit a workout into any schedule, especially for travelers adjusting to jet lag or busy days.
Spa at Four Seasons Tokyo Otemachi
I didn’t get a chance to enjoy a treatment myself, but the spa looked every bit as luxurious as you’d expect from Four Seasons. The menu offers a wide range of services, including massages, facials, and specialized wellness treatments designed to help you unwind and recharge after a busy day exploring Tokyo.
The design is sleek and calming, with warm wood tones, soft lighting, and tranquil treatment rooms that feel like a peaceful retreat from the city buzz. From what I saw and heard, the spa team is highly skilled, providing attentive and personalized service that truly elevates the experience.
If you’re looking to indulge during your stay, this spa is definitely worth carving out time for—it’s the perfect place to relax and refresh.
Dining at Four Seasons Tokyo Otemachi
We wanted a hotel with several dining options since we knew we’d be eating in often with our toddler—and wow, Four Seasons Tokyo at Otemachi delivered.
est
Fine dining here is truly on another level. Our table overlooked the sparkling Tokyo skyline and the Skytree at night, setting the perfect scene.
The tasting menu was a full sensory experience—each dish evoked flavors, smells, and textures that felt artfully crafted and deeply memorable. It’s no surprise this spot holds two Michelin stars.
Honestly, it’s the kind of place you savor quietly and don’t even think about pulling out your phone for photos. Service was flawless, making the whole evening a 100/10.
Virtù

I absolutely loved Bar Virtù, the hotel’s award-winning cocktail bar with a chic lounge vibe and stunning skyline views. We had dinner here one night and everything was fantastic—from the drinks to the food. The menu is a creative blend of French and Japanese influences.
I ordered the Yuzu Nagi with mezcal, and the bartender’s little ritual of dropping bitters on my hand before adding them to my drink was such a fun touch. My husband’s martini came with the bottle presented tableside, which felt so special.
Our favorite dishes were the lobster okonomiyaki, salmon tacos, and the Paris x Tokyo roll—every bite was unforgettable and easily one of my favorite meals of the entire trip.
PIGNETO

For simpler, family-friendly meals, we stuck to Pigneto, the Italian restaurant onsite. Their pizzas are some of the best I’ve had—especially the margherita and the white pizza with pesto. The generous dollop of ricotta on the pesto pizza completely won me over. It was casual and perfect for dining with our little one.
In-Room Dining

We relied on in-room dining quite a bit, especially for lunch when our toddler napped. The menu had great options like paninis and egg rolls, and the kitchen was happy to accommodate specific requests—like a big bowl of steamed broccoli for our daughter. Service was prompt and friendly, making it easy to enjoy a quiet meal in our suite whenever we wanted.
Children’s Amenities at Four Seasons Tokyo Otemachi

Traveling with a toddler can be tricky, but Four Seasons made it feel effortless with thoughtful touches right from the start. We were greeted with welcome gifts, including kid-sized pajamas and hooded towels, plus toddler-friendly toiletries. The crib they provided was so comfortable, complete with soft blankets, and they offer additional baby gear on request like sterilizers, baby tubs, and more so you can travel light.
Dining with kids was easy thanks to their kid-friendly menu options and staff who happily accommodated specific requests, ensuring mealtime was stress-free.
One of the most charming perks is for suite guests with little ones ages 3 to 5: the hotel sets up a tent filled with toys and themed around characters and stories—creating a magical fantasyland for kids to camp out in style right inside the suite. It’s a delightful way to spark imagination and keep children happily entertained.
Overall, the staff’s warmth and attention to families made our stay smooth and welcoming.

Location & Getting Around Tokyo
Otemachi has a more business-focused vibe compared to nearby neighborhoods, but it feels incredibly clean, safe, and quietly luxurious. It’s not the bustling tourist hub, which made it feel like a peaceful home base after busy days exploring Tokyo.
The hotel’s location is unbeatable for walkability. We clocked a lot of steps strolling to nearby hotspots like Ginza’s upscale shopping, the expansive Imperial Palace grounds, and Jimbocho’s vintage book town—each offering a completely different side of Tokyo’s charm.
One of my favorite things? The hotel sits right on top of Otemachi Station, so you literally don’t have to step outside to catch the subway or JR lines. This makes navigating Tokyo effortless, whether you’re headed to a museum, restaurant, or just around town.
Getting around from the hotel is a breeze, whether on foot or by train, giving you a quiet retreat with the entire city within easy reach.
